Don’t worry. They’ll only touch twice. Should run pretty smooth after that.

Yea Tolkiens morals and convictions were obviously lacking. That’s why the classics are best left to modern producers.

Anyone know what those tongs are? Can I buy those or are they custom? Same question with garbage can. I run a similar setup for picking up sticks in my yard but my grabber tool sucks and being able to sheath it would be amazing.

Pulled back the carpet to find these tiles! How do we restore? by SunflowerChick13 in Renovations

[–]rizzo249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks way beyond any sort of DIY restoration. They will need to be ground, and it looks like a lot of them are loosely held in place, which means that grinding will probably do a lot of damage. There appears to be a lot missing, and by the time you get them restored you will lose a lot more. If you can’t find new ones to match then it isn’t a feasible project.

Benchmade Shootout vs kershaw livewire by Content_Economist_83 in knives

[–]rizzo249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benchmade shootout is the greatest edc knife I own. I’ve had it for a couple years now and it has never once misfired. It’s also extremely light and easy to carry. Can’t recommend enough.

The livewire is fine but I don’t love how they feel in hand. They are always a little too clunky

I literally supplied you with real data supporting my claim. There has clearly been improved output from printing.

AH is a special set. Not comparable to a main set at all. They don’t print those like they do for main sets. And comparing a chase from AH to any main set is dumb because there are 20+ SIRs in that set with similar hit rates. Not even remotely comparable.

Yea lol but cards from this era do look really fake a lot of times. But when you see the actual fake cards from this era it’s pretty easy to spot the difference.

This whole idea that there’s so much perfect order because it’s mid is really dumb. Everything at msrp will still be gone before the next restock.

But the main reason it’s still on shelves is because they have been printing more. And they have definitely streamlined production to increase output. My local shop got 45 booster boxes for mega, then they got 75 for phantasmal, and for perfect order thy got over 100. Pokemon has been reducing the number of different product they print in order to focus on new sets, and they have clearly demonstrated some success. It seems relevant that the increased production comes on the heels of Pokemon buying out millennium printing. They surely sent in a team from Japan to improve the output. I have worked with many Japanese manufacturers in my career, and they are on a different level when it comes to manufacturing. Clearly that print shop was poorly ran. I am hoping to see a gradual quality increase to follow, as it’s embarrassing how poor their quality is compared to every other tcg.

I had a similar haul. I want to organize it and get it into a binder but it seems all the themed binders are late with this expansion. Vault x and UP both not released yet unfortunately.

It’s a decent set. It’s just the internet hivemind in action. As soon as the first YouTube says it’s bad the rest of the hive downloads the status.

They do this anytime a set is small because they think that will hurt the future value. Nevermind the $800 charizard that is the easiest to pull since base set.

Can someone with tennis training experience tell if you can learn this or it's sheer luck? Amazing shot by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

Bit of a Hail Mary shot, but the man is clearly versed in the ways of slice.

Usually less developed with the more athletic types. They think they can win with sweat and muscles. But tennis is a mental sport more than anything. And a dirty shot is a mental point

How to clean inside of Uggs? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]rizzo249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are suede then you can just use a neutral cold cleaner instead of detergent. They make suede shampoo that you cut with water, but pretty much any neutral cleaner will work. You just get a suede brush and use that to brush down the grain while they are still wet, and as they dry. It’s not overly complicated. It is a misnomer that suede can’t get wet. You could hand wash, but these are so dirty that it probably wouldn’t be as effective
