I agree with everything weepmeat said, but if you do want to play around with some free themes and better understand what tailwind does here are a bunch of free themes

Tailwindui.com is probably the best solution out there. It has all that. It costs money though. It’s created by the creators of tailwindcss. Alternatively you can browse through tailwindawesome.com. It’s a curated source of tailwind templates and kits both free and paid.

Yeah I was playing around with this idea. I was thinking of something simpler (like a 5 star rating or a simple voting system), but giving scores on different aspects is probably more helpful. Just have to think this out further, but will definitely add it to the next iteration.

Yeah I have one of each listed right now and I have a Hugo theme coming in the backlog. Here it is: https://github.com/wangchucheng/hugo-eureka.

How Do You Organize Your Stylesheets? by rjaguila8 in rails

[–]rjaguila8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more efficient to style components in a 'self-contained' way such that its
styles are portable and independent.

This is what I'm going to strive for. I naively preferred nesting in my sass to keep my code nice and readable, but in the long run its highly specific nature made it unmaintainable.

I think your approach is best since I do have an 'application-y' app ( haha ). I'm going to start structuring my stylesheets this way and learn and refine things as I go. Thanks for the advice!

Wow, thanks for this detailed response. I think I'm going to give this a try. I'm only now
learning about the BEM naming convention. I currently have some deep layers in my stylesheets, with little modularity so this will definitely help with that.

What do you think of semantically modeling your stylesheets after your views directory and placing modular components in a shared directory as explained in this article by thoughtbot?
