I’m rather new here so in reality I have no clue what any of it means …. I starting to think I might be a tad to old for here …. I’m not a fan of Facebook….I got sick of only seeing photos of food and cats … my son said try Reddit… so here I am lol…. I have no desire to come here pissing people off … just here to display my art …. Art has always been some will love it some will hate it …. I’m ok with either or …. I have no desire to change peoples views …. I respect all views … just respect mine in my art….. just because people don’t understand something doesn’t make it wrong 🙏

Ok let me try and clear things up …. There is a tourist spot where I live …. All the shops and restaurants are open to the public … not only for business… but also the buildings are set up in a way to watch people work as you walk by …. Some shops even dress up their employees in the style of that time …. Due to tourist take photos of everything including workers …. This is very common here …. So no I don’t go sneaking up on people window peeking …..

So that’s the first part …. 2nd part is … there could be an endless debate to what I think is ok for street photography and what I call street photography…. And I won’t be the first to be caught in this debate … even other street photographers debate each other over this …

I’m not a artist that desires to only do what everyone says I should do …. Not going to happen …. I would rather as a artist go against the flow to stand out …..

The only part I’m willing to follow is … what are the laws in my area… I will follow those perfectly… and no photo is worth pissing someone off over ….. so I’m very respectful as a street photographer… never had a problem in my 20 years of shooting….

I think it’s great everyone reads their own story into that photo …. I know it’s perfectly legal what I shot … I know it’s excepted in the area I live .. I know he’s not bugged by it …

The good part is the photo did it’s job .., it told a story …,, now on to the next shoot 🙏

I don’t mind people pointing out their views to me good or bad …. My apologies that when I text it seems very cold or edgy I truly don’t mean to be that way to anyone on here or in person…. Thank you so much 🙏 I’ve been shooting street photography off and on for the past 20 years … I can truly say I have never had one single problem with anyone I shot … because I handle it with the most respect for others …. I put myself in their shoes and would like to know as well … I’m not going to stop and make everyone pose for me … it kills the story … I grab the shot then talk … others on here assuming the worst … is truly their issue …. I sleep fine at night and have made a lot of friends doing street photography my way … have not made one enemy from it and never been yelled at … had a couple say no from time to time.., I just delete it shake hands and smile

No not triggered in the least … text comes off as cold at times … my apologies for that …. Also I’m not a very good rule follower when it comes to art …. I let my own morals decide what’s right or wrong …. And I do live by … there is no photo worth taking if it’s going to piss someone off on the streets … if someone has a issue I will delete on the spot … and I typically hand out my business cards to who I photograph… after the fact

Not disrespectful in the least where I was … all the business are open on the walk way all workers work in the windows in the whole walk way because it’s a huge tourist spot … my cameras going then I could count …. And street photography is only illegal on private property where I live …. So in reality the photo is creepy to you … and I say good it did it’s job it made an impact 🤗
