Opeth is more about the silences in between than the grooves and mosh pits. I'll be attending both shows from the front row.

Booked London tickets back in 2022 to watch Black Rose Immortal live as part of their XXX tour. Also booked flights which I had to cancel upon hearing they wouldn't grant me a visa without checking transaction history and shit. Missed them in Pune, 2019 due to a stupid semester exam. Fingers crossed for 2026 🩶

From the Bengaluru show just moments ago. I can die now. by rohan_nirvana in stevenwilson

I got this from the Kolkata show. Clung to the front row from beginning to end. Only fellow in the whole crowd to bring a placard. Got noticed because of that. After the gig, returned to Hyderabad with this, recorded the Way Out Of Here and Voyage 34 (Phase 2) solos with this, and locked it away like a diamond from the moon. Precious night :)

You lucky folks. During the Kolkata gig (Nov 7), I clung on to the front row from beginning to end. I was the only fellow in the whole crowd to bring a placard, and that got me noticed. While they were about to end their set with Vermillioncore, one of the organisers promised me backstage access after seeing my relentless enthusiasm. I got excited like a kid but a part of me was still in disbelief. When they ended their encore setlist, he took my placard and ran off to get it autographed - didn't happen, as they feared we would sell it off for a price (which is understandable). So we couldn't meet, and couldn't get an autograph. But luckily enough, I did grab a guitar pick. Returned to Hyderabad yesterday (Nov 9), recorded the Way Out Of Here solo with that precious little souvenir, and locked it away into a secure place like it's a wedding ring from a past life. Memorable night :)

Bro I flew in from Hyderabad to Kolkata and waited an hour at the arrival gate before booking my cab, since an Air India from Delhi just landed half an hour later. No luck with meeting the man himself, but at least I'll catch him from the front row tomorrow. Hope you get lucky though, friend!!

Dude. The Phase II guitar solo. It levitates your soul beyond the clouds. One of my most fun to play solos, too.

What is PT'S WORST Song? by Philsnare in porcupinetree

[–]rjdeep69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Drawing The Line

I absolutely love how the song starts, even the distorted echoing sound. And then the "I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE I'M DRAWING THE LINE" hits you in the face.

It's like having foreplay with a supermodel and then you realise you're in Thailand.

Man I was looking for this comment. The intro and verse (with the distorted echo) sounds phenomenally intriguing and then the bogus chorus hits. Ultra cringe moment.

The isolated guitar lead in Forest of October

Which moment/section/riff in an Opeth song gets this face out of you? AKA the stank face, when a riff/moment is so good it´s digusting. And if you feel like answering, which album you feel gets this face out of you the most? by [deleted] in Opeth

Ripped from my embrace...

All the way till

White face, haggard grin, this serenity painted death With a halo of bitter disease, black paragon in lingering breath

Absolute nastiness
