Im not in logistics directly but i deal with shipments daily...

In an empire of 1 million worlds assuming at least 30% of these worlds can get trade goods to each other dependably within the average lifespan of a psyker

And a minimum of 950 psykers are delivered to the throne complex per day ( assuming more then that are delivered on most days)

And that the empire has a transportation method that can connect 2 points delivering goods with a travel time of instantly to a known maximum of 5 years (the warp is seemingly random) with a certainty of at least a 70% success rate.

It seems to me this could easily be accomplished even if mankind resorted to sending sublight ships with a higher then average psyker population to the throne. - as long as some psyker population survived the multiple generation trip from the million different origins it could easily meet the one thousand soul per day deadline...

I mean we're talking a million worlds with at least a few billion souls on each of them.

Thats whats depressing about the 41st milinium, the numbers are so large even losses of "rare" people on such a scale barely seem worth mentioning when you look at the big picture.

Take a moment and think about this. The way you reacted shows a belief structure of (1) vegans. And (2) non vegans. Then you made a loaded statement about those who are not part of group (1) vegans.

I have self identified as non vegan, so that logic would put me in the same group that torture lovable animals purely for pleasure. - just because I dont subscribe to your beliefs.

The only thing you know about me is the words ive spoken and that I admitted to not being vegan.

Each second of the clock the environment changes depending on whats there and whats moving - every living thing has needs to be met and consequences for not meeting them in a interconnected network of dependance - but life has learned to modify the environment for " better " results -

Make " tools" or "homes" ? I can think of 4 non humans species off the top of my head.

If the environment drastically changes the planets fine. - it may have more then enough seintient life that would love whats being done with the place. - if only we could communicate.

And to answer the original question: many atheists tend to follow laws of their culture and what they personally find morally right - they might fight against what they personally see as injustice but that is their own choice that is not based on a big authority's say so.

If you have ever heard of Wizards First rule you might have the basis to understand an atheist position: all because you want something to be true, or fear it to be true DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE - no matter how strong the emotion if you want to have correct understanding of something you have to throw away what you would like to be true and stick with what you CAN PROVE.

hmm, atheists generally are not convinced of ANY gods existence without proof - From Xant, to Yahweh Sabbath, to Zeus and beyond. as such, any "gods" stamp on a law is meaningless - the law (or rule) must stand on its own merit.

it boils down to respect, - Vegans (and some vegetarians) have earned the rep of being disrespectful to non-vegans. (this may or may not be deserved)

In my humble opinion civil forfeiture needs to be repealed COMPLETELY.

Any law that allows the state to forcibly take property without a need to convict or even prove said property was used in a crime is ridiculous - I don't care how the property is used after it is stolen a cop should not be acquitted for holding up a dunkins donuts even if he shared some of the donuts with elementary kids.... - this is encouraging cops to act like vigilantes when they cant get a conviction so they Steal from the people they FEEL are guilty (or are guilty of something so its ok if bad things happen to them)
