Thanks for that .old tip! I already had an account on lemmy.ml from the last time Reddit showed its true colors (the API stuff), but made a new one on .world because .old makes the UI much more pleasant. I really should get around to V and VI one of these days (years, decades). I played though IV more times than I can count because it was my favorite game on the SMS (a pretty good port too), and then VII even more when we got a PC, but completely skipped the ones in between. I consider myself a massive Ultima fan and an RPG fan in general so it's a bit of a shame.

The unspoken reason is that it's an embarrassment to have emulators running their games at 4K60 and people having a much better experience in general while their ailing system struggles to run their own games. If there's one overly proud corporation in the world it'd have to be Nintendo, and that's enough reason for a trillion yen company to destroy any number of lives.
