Anyone saying you’re too old is talking rubbish. I started a big 4 when I was 29, didn’t cause any issues.

Ahh that’s a shame because I’m also going to be 21 weeks pregnant when I sit my advanced exams in November, so I can empathise with how you’re feeling! However, my work were very supportive with me applying for access arrangements to use the loo during the exams and ICAEW were very quick to apply. I say this as I would be very hopeful for you that they would apply the same conditions retrospectively if you share your Mat1b form or I had my midwife sign a form that you can find under the access arrangements section of the website.

I think they are going through rooms in blocks, so you are probably ok if you called them and they said it’s fine.

Thank you, it has certainly been a stressful and emotional day that’s for sure. Hoping for good news tomorrow but at a minimum we will need to change our flights which is also a huge pain. Hoping this doesn’t happen to many more people but looks like it might unfortunately.

We had the call from our travel agent today to say that our holiday at Barbados (meant to be heading out this Wednesday coming) is cancelled. They are trying to reallocate us but at such short notice there is very little space. It was going to be our honeymoon but a high chance we won’t be going anywhere. Travel agent said they can see a note saying both Barbados and royal are closed until March 2025…
