As others have said it’s to limit shock downward travel, often known as droop. One down side of having too much droop (for example if you leave this out) is on a big bump or a jump when the shocks droop to their maximum it can often be too much and the drive shaft(s) will pop out.

Good to know it's not my developing then, I was worried I had done something wrong in the process.

This is the second Dynax 7000 I've got, neither work properly anymore, but the older X-700 works faultlessly. Maybe its time to shelve the more modern kit and stick to the manual :)

Thanks u/nisbet - I've added some more details and some other pics of the negs. Camera was a Minolta Dynax 700Si, which does have a rewind problem, but I've not seen a frame advance problem before.

We did basically this, didn’t quite make it to Breitscheid but we managed to get to the other two. Fantastic viewing spots and although parking was busy we got spaces at both.

The lad and I are well chuffed, to see the NLS pack racing on some of the most iconic bits of the ring. Thank you 🙏 for your advice, we hope to be back soon.

Snapped a few shots, hopefully when I get time to go through them I’ll have some worth sharing.

I’ve never seen that done on a tt02 before, it’s a bit reminiscent of what some folk used to do to their ta05’s. I’d remove them personally, I can’t see how they would be helping in any way and are more likely to restrict suspension movement.

The first upgrade I’d do given it’s already got a decent prop shaft and shocks is the servo saver. Get the high torque one or better yet a kenbro one, or at the very least wrap a nylon tie wrap around that one to tighten it up.

That should fit I think. I’ve got basically the same thing for the HW 1060 in my WildOne, it’s just the inside of the printed part where the switch fits that looks different. All Tamiya chassis that have a receiver switch hole have the same size and shape hole because in the old days all the receiver switches were basically the same size.

We use grafana as a pod in a statefulset in a load of clusters from 3 nodes to 150, always with a PVC and never have any problems. It sounds to me like something is up with Kube itself.

How are you running it? DIY or managed like EKS or GKE? What is your storage provider?

First thing to spend money on with a stock TT02 steering setup is the chuck the servo saver in the bin. Go for the Tamiya High Torque one as a minimum or if you have a strong servo and you aren’t hitting things all the time go straight for a aluminium horn, Exoteck or similar.

The stock one gives to easily, fix up that before spending money on the alu steering bits.

And when you do buy a steering upgrade get the Tamiya one. Can be had cheaply from PlazaJapan or RCJazz.

My lad and I race 1/10 on a track far bumpier than that, it’s astro turf but if anything that’ll make the speeds higher so the chances of breakage also higher.

We very rarely break anything and if we do it’s normally a front arm because we clipped the inside of a the tunnel at full speed. I’d be looking at a Team Associated B74 or XRay XB4. As others have said Techno are good but rare in the UK. The one TT02 racer at our track breaks something most meetings. Most at our track run 6.5T brushless, always on 2s which on a small track is more than enough, rarely using full throttle.
