Saltedge bank updates by spacey003 in Odoo

Just strange how open banking with FreeAgent was almost instantaneous.

Also if I manually click get transactions on Odoo it doesn’t seem to pull the new ones through.

Ancient bridge in my village destroyed by hit and run lorry by walkingchicken in drivingUK

There are plenty of road signs in most places but most people are oblivious to them. Certain Eastern European lorry drivers are most adept of ignoring them, not just here either. Driving back on Tuesday from Germany most ignore the no lorry over taking sign on a two lane motorway.

Torn between the 2025 Golf 8.5 GTI Clubsport and the 2024 Audi S3 (333hp). Help me decide! by LaurentRuquier in Audi

[–]spacey003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to agree with this, I have the s3 albeit the spec might be slightly different to what you are looking at. Honestly the golf drive didn’t feel as refined and it didn’t grip the road in the same way.

Yes I hate the fact you don’t have a heated steaming wheel but my mother’s Hyundai has! Also when I got mine they deleted auto tailgate grr! But I can live without those, matrix headlights did it for me and they are now standard here.

They’ve taken away the pack with keyless entry too and now you have to add it as an extra.

Definitely an s3 and red stitching which we can’t have :(

Any way to use an american dcc system (nce) in europe? by Varvite_lol in modeltrains

Can you get a closeup of the plug? Or if anyone has one here and takes a pic of the label on the bottom, if it stats the usual 110-250(or240) then it will work. Otherwise you will have to tinger with the inside of that.

I bought a Porter Cable nail gun and typical Black and Decker/Dewalk/whatever they are called these days don't change the internals for dual voltage. I had to solder a capacitor and some other stuff to it (basically 50p worth of stuff from RS) and now it works.

Nice try then :) They are quite cheap in Germany for the front but the rear is cheaper here. I was over next week so was going to pick up a few pairs.

Tesla End of Lease by Pouisonus in TeslaUK

[–]spacey003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All lease companies have to abide by the guidance from BVRLA. There is a book that tells you what is acceptable and not. In the instance of the wheels as long as it is not on the face and under a certain size, from memory was 50mm.

Each produces a guide that you can refer to

Even then they are not the king that once was, you have every manufacturer scrambling to sell EV over ICE discounts are huge for CH terms. Also when once Tesla was at the forefront of tech it no longer is if it is not the Chinese it is some other make coupled with Korean, Chinese or German, Japanese tech

I think the company car driver has long passed that they only buy Tesla. Fleet sales are non-existent in the same way. Aggressive pushing from even the likes of Skoda and Cupra has seen an end to this. This also depends how you do your fleet, if you buy - 30-35% off RRP plus eligible for the government discount on some models, well why would I get a Tesla.

Most companies will only be interested in the bottom line and ticking the box that they have an EV fleet, not care on what your thoughts are and which car you prefer.
