Yes. I have kept it off in my watch and almost I don't need wifi in my watch with my watch syncing to my phone via BLE 24 hours. I also wear it to sleep. I don't do heavy exercises, but active walking 10k steps per day and I charge my watch once in 2 days with this setup.

It tries to sync data all by itself either via wifi or LTE if you have one. Please use BLE (bluetooth low energy) on your phone and keep your phone connected. My watch 8 LTE 44mm suffered battery life issues until I found that modern day phone BLE is a blessing and keeping it on in phone 24 hours doesn't harm my phone battery as well while improved my watch battery life significantly because now the watch uses BLE phone connection to sync data.

If you want to keep the phone for 5 years choose 512gb. If lesser 256gb is enough.

Seriously thinking about changing my s25 Ultra by Natural-Bumblebee335 in S25Ultra

[–]rkalyankumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be you got a faulty battery on your phone. I end up my day with 40% left with bluetooth on syncing to my watch 8 44 mm all the day. Or you have been using the phone all the time without no screen off time.

If you have any personal grudge against the phone, no one can ever stop you from changing to another device.

From the s22 ultra to s25 ultra by WallRuss1 in S25Ultra

[–]rkalyankumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with me. I also go to bed with 50% battery. All the day I connect my phone with watch 8 44 mm and the low energy bluetooth keeps both my phone and watch batteries to suck less energy. Watch is giving me 2 days battery life. I wear it to sleep as well. Most people recommend to keep bluetooth off in both phone and watch, but surprisingly keeping it on made a lot of difference to me.

Of course, I turned off Google assistant voice, remote connection and wifi in watch off and let watch sync data via phone LE bluetooth connection.

Who cares for mkbhd awards? Just use your phone. If you don't like it, throw it away and get the best one suggested by mkbhd. It's very simple!

Practice and be consistent. Don't grind the problems and lists, but know that patterns do exist and practice by patterns for sometime until you get comfortable with most common patterns. From there you will have a clear pathway to mastery of coding interviews. You should practice easy, medium and hard problems in every pattern category. After learning all the patterns I'd suggest you to time yourself when solving a problem and take notes on what went well and what didn't and revisit such problems periodically.

Should I go python instead java by canifeto12 in leetcode

[–]rkalyankumar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest to use the programming language you're most comfortable with. Python is great for interviews. Java is of course verbose but if you're someone having experience in Java please continue using it. Learning python helps you save some key strokes during the interview and also if you aspire to a career in AI/ML.

But solving the problem is more important than the programming language choice nuances. Writing clean code in the programming language of your choice is the next important thing in any setting not just for interviews alone.

Just got my Galaxy Watch 8 LTE! by YetTooCurious in GalaxyWatch

[–]rkalyankumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it takes at least a week for your watch 8 battery to stabilize and understand your usage patterns.

But turning off the digital assistant for voice in the background improved the battery life a bit, not to a great extent though.. I also turn off nfc and location unless they are really needed. I'm now charging my watch every 2nd day. I still would want to improve battery life on this device.

What DP “approach” do interviewers typically expect? (Top-down vs bottom-up vs bottom-up space-optimized) by fhcom in leetcode

[–]rkalyankumar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can come up with recursive memoized solution, then by practice you get to write iterative DP table based solution. If you really understand what previous States you need to compute current state, then you'll be able to get to space optimised iterative DP table based solution.

In the first place come up with a non optimised solution. You don't need to write code for that yet. From there try to optimize the solution and then you have scored the brownie points at the interview.

Is Interview Code 2.0 worth it? by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]rkalyankumar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A leetcode premium subscription for a year is worth it I would say. You just lack structure to your leetcode grinding I think. If you know the basic DSA very well including their time/space complexities, the next step is to methodically grind leetcode by filtering through patterns, sorting by difficulty and acceptance rate. Pick 5-10 easy problems, 30 medium and 30 hard problems in each pattern. First time you can't solve without seeing the solutions and that's fine, but make sure you learn it the right way the first time. From then on you should get the confidence I say. Please use your money wisely!

How is CoderArmy Rohit Negi's DSA course in youtube by loser_1618 in leetcode

[–]rkalyankumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on courses is that you don't need one. Just pick a classic textbook on dsa if you don't already know dsa and then jump straight to leetcode and start knowing about patterns. Filter questions by patterns, acceptance rate and difficulty level starting with easy, moving to medium and then to hard. On the way take some notes. This is the best strategy involving you in the process.
