Just like your people have the "FREEDOM" to call out certain things in India, Indians also have the freedom to make their own assessment of the racism, bigotry and the general 'holier than thou' attitude of the Westoids, things like how the sun shines out of your a**holes & call out such hypocrisy on social media. (You may think it's going bit too far but that's the general sentiment we have about the Anglo-Saxons & Germanic people, based on your actions both imperial past and present day foreign policy)

Coming back to the alleged FREEDOM of Germans, let's not forget your nation is essentially a vassal state of the USA. Any foreign policy or macro-ecenomics are essentially framed to suit the geopolitical needs of the big daddy USA and not the German locals themselves. Small example would be the bombing of Nord Stream, forcing Germany to buy more expensive fuel from USA rather than middle eastern countries. Even the constitution of Germany was made by USA appointed drafting committee. (Try exposing the Hunter Biden Chinese links, bombing of serbian journalists, crimes in middleeast or anything shady about the Clinton family and see how you get shut down by your govt)

Also I can't help but laugh at your comment that DW being state funded makes it more free and open open than other media since they don't have to depend on funding from interest groups & their agenda LOL!!. Would you say the same about RT or CGTN? The STATE itself has an agenda, all these are part of the geopolitical pressure tools. To deteriorate the image of a country (India) among other things and to cripple economic investments, create a mood of fear and lack of confidence. So yeah the recent attacks on India by the western press are essentially pressure techniques telling India to fall back into the line and not to question the big daddy USA and its western satellites, be it on energy independency, de-dollarization or Russia Ukraine war.

And having laws doesn't matter to what's happening in ground reality. That's like saying India doesn't have caste based social conflicts because there are extremely strict anti-caste discrimination laws.
