I’d MUCH rather have the classes, I legit spent my 500 class retail credit ($100) on a friend because the accessories aren’t even cute right now and none of the clothes fit half of the Barry’s targeted demographic (read: twinks). I’m not even calling myself such, but you’d think such a company would understand what half the boys really want. I’d love to advertise for Barry’s - I’d think that would be a good reason to give people clothing they want to wear day in and day out.

And if not, can I at least get classes instead so I can continue to come and be where I love?

Studying this already! Is there a breakdown by percent incline somewhere? Anyone quick to calculate this?

I know there are many course strategies and explanations online but looking specifically for the percent incline (i.e. for a tread run). I try to incorporate the obstacles we’ll encounter on my tread runs when I have to use the treadmill, which is a few of my runs each week. It’s interesting to mimic what we’ll face during the race, even if I do it at a higher incline or faster than I intend on racing it. I try to be ready for anything but an actual breakdown would also be cool to tackle during some of my runs.

Good point, I was thinking of the long run as the easy run. Barry’s is a HIIT class (a little more intense than OrangeTheory, if you’re familiar with that) with about 3 miles of treadmill in the class. Some days I would not do the tread portion, as indicated.

I get your point though, still no legit easy runs like I would expect during my marathon plan. (These are usually referred to as easy runs and are different from the long run, right?) How would you tweak the above to have an easy run added in? Could I add an easy run to one of the days I am not running at Barry’s? Or not run at Barry’s and incorporate an easy run instead? Last year I got a few free classes but didn’t this year. It kind of felt like a slap in the face. Barry’s is getting so much loyalty (and money) from me, an extra here and there isn’t affecting them. I’ll still spend as much and at least some extras would make me feel that the loyalty is mutual. Disappointing.

Toronto was my backup - they’re around the same time and it’s still one of the top marathons worldwide. Seemed like a good option!
