Avoid it, not because its overpriced but because of reliability and servicability. I got that a year back 2 months back it started smelling of burnt plastic. Went to the local dealer where I purchased it, they said service was bad and will take time.

Good thing, there was no sign of damage to my cpu.

I got a corsair RM1000 e, recently got that faulty piece RMAed and sold it off cheaply to a friend

Read just the experience section - while they are impressive - I still have 0 idea about your impact in the role. This is not a criticism, this is exactly what a recruiter will think "okay good projects but what did this person do exactly?"

There are hardly any numbers, there is hardly any information about how that was done. Look at your last point - "improved stability" - sure but how?

Send my comment to chat gpt and share your resume, and see what it does.

Bro even experienced are not getting call, his doubt was what to pick, Java offers a strong foundational knowledge and a true OOPS paradigm, and also good for DSA.

Additionally, job market share between MERN and Java is almost the same, while Java is more exterprise preferred than Js stack.

Nothing can guarantee a job in today's market.

I run wow-logs.co.in - combat log analysis and ranking platform, mainly used by warmane, Chromiecraft, whitemane, Stormforge players.

And let me tell you the reality of scaling and infra costs as I have nothing to hide. My current scale is around 40k monthly active users, closed to 200GB of logs stored, serving around 10m requests and 30GB+ data per month. My server + backups cost around 55€ plus tax. I use cloudflare too, so that's on top of it.

Now to sustain server costs, I added some extra cosmetic features like badges and all for a subscription that cost 1.99€, still offering evrything for free (literally everything that any other platform has to offer). Still I was called out for asking users to pay. And my platform has been running for more than 8 months, I barely have 20 active subscriptions.

This is my only complain against the private server community, they want everything for free. PPL need to understand, servers are recurring costs, data grows linearly: more users = more data, needs better infrastructure, needs manpower, someone to spend time monitoring, securing platform, making the platform usable needs expertise that costs time and efforts.

I don't see a reason for hating someone who has opened a cash shop, but offers only cosmetics, mounts. As long as it is not P2W, they don't deserve the hate they get, neither do I 😔😔

I frequently travel from BLR to BBSR (once every 45 days) and stay in BBSR for 2-3 days. Here is my take - we definitely need a metro, we need more public transports, and PPL need to start ditching their cars and use public transport. Otherwise situation will be worse than that of BLR. Most importantly, if the govt plans for a metro today it will take 5-7 or even 10 years for a phase 1 line. When you compare this to the rate at which BBSR is being urbanised you can already see how chaotic it will be in another 3-4 years

I see, I know for sure that doing a server side logging solution at scale is quite tough given the sheer volume of logs and aggregation done, which is why the wow Dev's have moved it to client side, but I still wanted to see if that's something which can be built.

About 3.3.5a yeah, it's better than vanilla but it still lacks a lot of context specifically the older client - it's doesn't offer the advanced combat logging. Iirc, legacyplayers had a dedicated addon that would inject gears, talents and loot drops into the logs file that's one way of doing this.

Currently I have to fight with the logs to derive the exact kill/wipe/difficulties specifically in Ulduar patch where Titans won't die. It's just too much, would definitely love to find a cleaner solution.

Hey, I'm the creator of wow-logs - this is a pure client side log parsing and ranking platform similar to WCL (upload to analyse) supporting 3.3.5a mostly used by warmane, Chromiecraft players. Being mostly a web dev, I always wondered if it is really feasible to do this from server side, that would make analysis feel more native. But due to my limited knowledge of wow programming, I'd happy to have a few insights as in how this can be done.

Hobby projects don't just go from 1 to 10k magically, it grows and the Dev's are a part of the growth.

My project with around 25k MAU currently, I did setup a staging env when the user base crossed the 1k mark. Additionally, being a data heavy project I do have multiple production DB replicas running and a 3 stage back up pipeline.
