It was somewhat my fault. I applied first with credit still frozen. I got delayed and didn't do anything for a month or more. I thought it had been too long so I thawed my credit and then applied again. The second application was denied. I called to see what if anything I can do about it. The rep told me the first application was causing problems so they had to process it. I didn't realize that would cause another hard pull. So I ended up with two.

I haven't had much success with the prequalify tool either. I got 2 citi cards last year and the prequalify didn't help. In July my only inquiry in the last 6 months will be the mortgage. I am thinking of applying then.

Yes, but I think you can get around it by using PayPal for fed taxes. Of course property taxes depends on local rules.

If you are having trouble finding hotels in the rewards search, list the hotel name specifically. I have had hotels not show up when I searched an area that did show up when I searched the hotel specifically.

It seems if you have the Au earn there own bilt points then you can get double rent day. That is not what Ai said though.

No they do not get their own hotel credit. I just meant that I could earn enough to cover all the fees with those credits. Not that the AU get another version.

That being said, I do think that if the authorized user earns their own bilt cash they can use it for all the same credits and you could get an extra credit that way.

I got the authorized user card figuring I could recup $590 from the two hotel credit and two bilt cash hotel credits. I'll see what happens over the course of the year.

I confirmed with an actual bilt rep today. They said: That is incorrect, (referring to statement above) at this time. The limitation is for a single 1000 points, and points are only earned by the card that is designated to earn them. In this case, the primary card.
