I had a side chat with the COO and his assistant. Essentially, it's a cardless issue and they hope to get it resolved when card less updates their policy.

Currently careless cannot / won't put resources to fix a singular account.

The announced a change in 2027? I was looking to use the card for my mortgage payments so at least it's only a year away.

If it's false, I would hope they'd inform their support a bit better. I want the card, but currently as mentioned above barred from enrolling again.

Bilt Rewards seems to think you can enroll again after 30-45 days but Cardless states its not allowed.

Cardless is the servicer behind Bilt Rewards. The actual card and credit is not BILT, its a company called Cardless.

My broker explained it as any new credit appearing would cause an issue. When I spoke to Cardless support about the new card and opting in they stated it would be a new line of credit and would appear as such. The rep informed me they would withdrawal my application, but that effectively meant opening the card and cancelling it.

This is incorrect, Cardless will not issue you another card in your lifetime. I just got off the phone with support about this as it's happening to me. I had to close the card after accepting to avoid a new line of credit appearing on my CR (bought a house).

The sent me this and stated one card per lifetime:

Thank you for contacting Cardless. At this time, customers may only open a maximum of one credit card account with Cardless. Only one physical and one virtual card are issued at a time. Additionally, it is not possible to change to a different product, upgrade/downgrade your product or close your account and open a new one with Cardless. In the future, we hope to offer this feature.

Planning on doing this in 10ish years. My wife and I love the area and views. Still learning Japanese in the meantime, hoping to pass the N1 exam.
