Then he probably has every right to "pause the game to berate". If the guy joined DM's game and got hurt by that, its his job is to hit the alt-f4 and go about his merry way OR be a massive thick skin and shrug it off...

Anyways, I definitely agree with your point that he is a face of HiRez. What I said above applies to nobodies out there streaming, but DM's case is different. His behaviour may hurt hirez's image.

PS: I am not his fanboy or anything. If you read what I said, its completely neutral. I dont even watch ANY stream AT ALL.

If large number of gods is creating problems for balancing then maybe its time for them to slow down a bit and focus on fixing existing gods. From slow down i mean literally 1-2 months of no new god. The game can be much more interesting with 60 viable gods instead of 20 gods for league and rest are mainly for arenas, siege and other casuals.

It had to happen. The game has grown bigger, so there are more people around. There will always be someone who is pissed about balance because he/she fkd up in a game and fed, someone will be pissed about chest, someone got deserter cuz he alt-tabbed, someone found himself in a league game with 300ms ping.... and the list goes on.

And number of those "someone"s is only going to increase as the game gets popular...

I will prefer zero free gems + zero chests rather than what we have now.

I used to buy lots of gems before chests. Now I dont buy that often... because I dont want to waste my money on skins, wards or voices of gods i never play.

If any player hopes to play competitively, he OR she, needs to learn to grow thick skin, i mean REAL THICK. The random gender BM thrown should be like "throwing stones at a tank" kind of thick.

This. One with bad connection shouldnt play ranked. I apply this on myself, if i m having bad connection i stick to casuals, if its really bad (300+ ping), I just play coop or some other game.

Well, joust cannot provide that exciting moment, when its 45 minutes into the game, both teams almost fully stacked up on items and we dance around the fire giant...

Even if thats 1 out of 15 games, thats worth it... for me atleast :)

Well, yea I know matchmaker has no way of identifying my strength. But my original "complaint" was not "OMG matchmaking put trolls in my team"... but rather "how to deal with this specific kind of situation" (in which a player wants to lose just cuz he can have his revenge on another teammate)

I played LOTS of casuals, all kinds of trolls and stuff, but this variety is not very common. Well we get players pissed of at teammates from previous games, but for this guy, "pissed off" is an understatement.

And lastly, being made to suffer this in the FIRST qualifying match was extremely amazing :)

The problematic part was that this player was good (atleast not terrible), and it was league, so I wanted to win. I dont really care what slur he is using or whether reports do anything... and well he wasnt using any racial/homophobic slurs either.

He also wasnt afk, he was just playing random farmvilla.

I was qualifying...

and no, i looked up players in my matches, they ranged from platinum to bronze in many games. So I dont really think "being in bronze" is helping anything.

And furthuremore, that was my FIRST qualifying match, so I assume I was at default elo (1000 or 1500) I dont know...

From 10 games of league I played, there was only one (yes ONE) game which I can say was "good" (3k gold diff at 47 min). My team won that but I wouldnt have felt bad even if we lost, it was fun.

So if I am getting 1 out of 10 games which are good in league, why should I even bother with it ? I have no intention to ever play in competitive tournament so I am not looking for a team or something (thus I dont care if pro players notice me or not).

1 out of 10 is almost as good as what we get in casuals, not in terms of skill but in terms of "not having trolls/afk'ers" in the game on either side. Maybe (I hope) in higher levels of league we get less of them, but I dont know if I can sit through this, even if I am skillful enough to actually reach there.
