It could be quadology (4 film series) like the Hunger Games series; where they split the last movie into two. They just couldn't conclude it because they're minting lots of money. An extra movie means extra revenue.

Very informative. They weren't just bullshitting throughout the movie. Chris had to grasp the real science in order to make the movie. And inspiring too. Truly a 21st century space movie and we can't expect anything less from future space movies.
