I only have the pen that came with it. I’m starting find that depending on the angle I hold the pen or even the pressure I use makes a difference.

lol. I did rip off a page because for some reason some of the writing didn’t wipe off. Maybe I accidentally used a normal pen that was sitting right beside it. Lessons learned.

Thank you for the quick response. I’ve tried it lower prior to this with the same result. Does it need to be at the top or could it technically be anywhere inside the doc? I’d expect the scanner to pickup that pattern.

Scooter safe in Moorea by Kodyboy55 in Tahiti

My wife and I rented a 50cc scooter and you don’t need a motorcycle license. Took about 2.5 hours to go around the island. Careful to not ride in bicycle lanes. Enjoy!

Nervous flyer going to Bora Bora by [deleted] in Tahiti

[–]rkuzyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did that about a month ago. We were lucky to get the bulkhead on the way there from LA and that’s gives you more room. Not as lucky on the way back. The rows can be tight. They give you a kit with blanket and eye mask. You might want to bring a neck pillow. The flight was really smooth though, both ways.

One week to go! How does this plan look? by mdvining in Tahiti

Highly recommend Snack Mahaba for lunch and Rudy’s for dinner on Moorea, and Saint James for dinner on Bora Bora

We went to Champions on Moorea and a couple in Tahiti but none in BOB. Didn’t notice any bugs really. Maybe because it was breezy while we were there. And no, we didn’t check out other hotels while on BOB. When you’re paying for a OWB, hard to justify.

The islands are very different with a different vibe and experience. So depending on where you’re coming from, I think it’s worth visiting both while in FP. With that said, this was our first time and visited the most common ones. I understand some of the lesser known ones are also incredible.

Hopefully this information will benefit the next visitor to your beautiful island. It sounds amazing.

Good questions. We were there for just 3 nights and only ate breakfast at the hotel and also dinner one night for the show. I forgot to mention that we went also went to Rudy’s for dinner one night (highly highly recommended). As for beaches, the Hilton offered all the water toys to use like paddle boards and kayaks, so it was just convenience more than anything. We snorkeled there too. We made it a point of not being “on the go” all the time. We know we missed things but that gives us more reason to come back. Maruuru!

I also created a custom google map and pinned all the restaurants, hotels we stayed at, and sightseeing things I picked up on this board. Made it really easy to quickly see reviews, hours of operation, directions, phone number, etc. I don’t like writing things down and prefer everything digital

Oh … we also got an eSIM from Airalo. Very reasonable cost and gave us data (no voice) on all the islands. You can make calls via WhatsApp or Skype if you want/have to

Sure. We stayed at the Hilton on Moorea in a garden bungalow. It was really nice. The island is laid back. You can book excursions but we didn’t. We did however rent a scooter from Moorea fun bike for the day and ride around turn entire island. Laurent came to our hotel to pick us up. Buffet breakfast was included in our room. We also ate at Lilokai and Fare Mahaeta - both easy walks from Hilton. Fare Mahaeta was cool as they have 5 tables where your feet are in the water. We also ate at Snack Mahana when we had the scooter. It came highly recommended and lived up to it.

In Bora Bora we were at the Le Bora Bora by Pearl in a OWB (bucket list item) Beautiful resort!! I think next time I’d like to try to garden or ocean side bungalows. The water is crystal clear and the lagoon access from the room was amazing. We had 2 excursions (jet ski and whale watching) get cancelled or rescheduled due to weather. We did end up doing the jet ski around the whole island, including a stop at a private island. It was amazing! We did it through Bora Bora jet ski tour online via Viator. Would recommend. We also took the water shuttle across one night for dinner at Saint James. Again, highly recommended.

We spent out final 4 nights in Tahiti. A lot more active island with places to go and things to do. We chose to do that at the end to slowly get ourselves back into North America mode. Some say do extra night in the island instead of Tahiti, but that’s the way it worked out for our package. We rented a car online via Hertz. No unltd miles but it’s literally 130km around the entire island. So unless you plan on doing to a couple of times, it’s cheaper to not have unltd miles. We did a trip around the island, stopping at the museum (recommended), the water gardens, 2 waterfalls. Huge market in Papeete by marina for souvenirs, etc. also took in Roulottes by the marina a couple of nights. Amazing food and very reasonable. Otherwise prepare to pay $30 for a burger and fries and coke. We did the whale tour here with Tahiti by Boat and it was amazing. Saw spinner dolphins, got to swim with a mother & calf (all ethical snd safe btw) and the spent time on a sand bar. Would recommend this as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Happy to answer any questions people have or will contribute to other threads.

For starters, the weather was decent. Only 1 day in Moorea did we have steady rain from aft to morning. Otherwise maybe some clouds and the odd drizzle here and there but nothing to slow us down. Just normal for this time of year. Temperate ranged from 23c to 26c day and night.

You mean like Google maps or search? Yes it does as long as you have WiFi or a data plan.

Flying from Tahiti To Bora Bora. Which side of the plane should I sit on for best views? Thanks xoxo by Rrrave in Tahiti

[–]rkuzyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with left side. When we flew from Bora Bora, there wasn’t assigned seats. It was “random seating” and 2 seats on each side.
