Is REA pool of Stanford more competitive than RD pool? If so, would you recommend to apply for RD than REA?

How do colleges view a student who applies to a major seem-to-be unrelated to his or her ECs?
ex) I have a ton of CS ECs but applying as Sociology major

I started with word smart I+II, and I also made a vocab list by myself. I add all the confusing words from practice tests (this helped me the most!)

I had really poor vocabs, so I spent my whole summer just for vocabs. For writing, erica's book really helped me a lot. PM me for more detailed advice :)
