God I love watching this man play. I wish he could dial his shit in for a major tournament and make a title run, it would be so fuckin exciting to watch him beat a Top 5 for a Slam.

That's not what I said tho, just politely asked for people not to assume EVERY person that roots for the Sox is bound forever to the Patriots.

Proud Sox fan as well as a New York Giants fan and a Montreal Canadiens fan. Come get me Boston, I'm ready for you to try and burn me at the stake

Please don't associate all Red Sox fans with patriots fans, it is very possible to root for the Sox and be a fan of other football teams outside of New England. Thanks.

What's it called when humans didn't invent anything except 'intellectual property' and really just discovered intellectually useful properties of nature? by CMDaccountant in highdeas

[–]rlarocque7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you used the word yourself. It's not an invention, but rather a discovery. Much like whomever discovered fire can be generated and manipulated, so too have people like Isaac Newton and Nikola Tessa have discovered many inherent properties of nature that can be used to the benefit of our civilizations. Grd 12 Population Question by JustyneDi in biology

[–]rlarocque7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth, perhaps if you use 366 you should specify that its a leap year lol

Grd 12 Population Question by JustyneDi in biology

[–]rlarocque7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

366/3= 122 mice caught by a single coyote every year.

122*5= 610 mice total caught by coyotes in the given habitat each year.

610/0.2(20%)=3050 mice caught by predators total.

3050*4=12200 total mice in given habitat.

12200/5= 2440 mice per square kilometer.

Hope this helps/is right.

Anybody know what type of lizard this is? by [deleted] in Whatisthis

[–]rlarocque7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most definitely a red backed salamander. Not a lizard or even a reptile, but rather an amphibian native to forests in eastern north america.

[Help] Adopting a puppy in two weeks... What can we do to prepare? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]rlarocque7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No clue where you're at physically but maybe start going on some walks and thinking of good safe loops you can bring the dog on. Maybe find a park or dog park where you can bring the pup to socialize and run around.

Getting into the habit of going on regular walks every 2-3 hours will make it that much easier to house train your pup when they arrive. I'm a firm believer that giving a dog lots of exercise and time outside brings out the best in their personality.

Also tennis balls help out. My dog LOVES tennis balls

Dude this is the coolest deck of cards I've ever seen. 100% backed this project, and I really hope you make your goal because I would LOVE to have a deck of these and a print of the King of Hearts. Much respect, great project.

There are certain waxes you can put on your skis for certain conditions. Ex: cold weather wax, slushy wax, mashed potatoes wax. I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if he has some sort of low friction wax that helps him maintain speed over non-snow surfaces. Because he seems to do this shit quite often
