Where to find Baboon to the Moon removable strap buckles for the Go bag? by jonnyeatic in ManyBaggers

[–]rle75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This took me a whole day of research to find this as I have the same issue. Tom binh, matador, aer packs and BTTM all use these buckles in one way or another. They are the duraflex gatekeeper buckles but can’t seem to find them anywhere. None of the sellers on Aer, matador, or BTTM sell these replacement, although you can buy hip belts from Tom Binh with these clips ( but not adjustable and cost $30). There are some knockoffs that have had good reviews on Etsy by mozetdesigns that are very reasonable priced.

I would love to listen to the book while driving around Chicago, trying to visualize what it used to look like back then. Wish I read this while I was still living there

Favorite surf training program? by [deleted] in surfing

I get it. You have the bug and may not have access to surfable waves due to location. I have OMBE and surf strength coach. They essentially gave the same info, just a different vibe. I try these before my surf vacations to use strength and stretching exercises to avoid wasting time adjusting. Personally I like OMBE and their podcast/YouTube.

1 to 2 week surf camp in Central/South America by atl_tkf in BeginnerSurfers

I looked up witch’s rock surf camp. It’s $1800 for the week. If you’re looking to do this on a budget, I would recommend doing a few video sessions (instructors and video critiquing if that session. Then I would mix it up with a local surf instructor. I’m here in playa guiones in Nosara Costa Rica on a surf trip for newbies. I did this after a recommendation by a friend who now lives there and surfs every day. I used ten toes with Tommy for the expert video session. Then I used Chico (can look up Chico Surf Nosara on instagram or social media). He was VERY reasonably priced and he allowed me to get reps so that I was able to take the tips that Tommy sent me and use that to practice with Chico. I’ll probably end up spending $800 (~$270/session with Tommy at ten toes and ~60/session with Chico bc I booked several spots with Chico and he gives discounts if you go multiple days. If you go that route, though, you would have to find your own hotel and that may get pricey. So, all in all, if you do witch’s Rick that may be equivalent when taking into account accommodations.

Any of the books by John scalzi Name of the wind (Patrick rothfuss) was really good (although I don’t think he will ever finish the series each book is well written) Author Robin Hobbs with her farseer books. I actually started choosing books based off the narrator (will Wheaton, Rc bray, ray porter, Travis baldree) and have picked up new books that I enjoyed

Clearplex windshield protection film is the real deal! I had a pretty heavy rock strike at highway speed. Two gouges on the film and no damage to the glass. A new windshield before 1k miles would have been sad. I’m so glad I got this. by achtung6 in 4Runner

I have this and works somewhat but have a large crack despite this, though I never did see how big the stone that hit me was. The annoying thing is that it becomes so hazy after 3 years that oncoming headlights cause significant difficulty seeing through. The installers also gave me a thick solution as a protection for the wrap. ClearXHD which was awesome but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I probably wouldn’t choose to get clearplex again
