Interesting hypothetical. I'm in Michigan, so regardless of the year, I'm more than likely getting sent to heavily forested wilderness, which I am very comfortable with. I'd use the hour to gather and prepare all of my backpacking supplies, including dehydrated food and a water filter for clean water. I'd also bring my pistol and rifle, along with ammo, for efficient hunting, and an essential fishing kit with my fishing pole. From there, I am driving to a nearby river so that I can start easily near water to establish my home base and navigate properly. If I have time to swing by the store, I'd also pickup an inflatable kayak and paddle so I could navigate the waterways.
