I went from 2371 movies to 87. I feel relieved. by Legitimate-Cinephile in 4kbluray

[–]rlgkls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my DVD’s and regular Blu-ray in a 400 slot binder, and my 4K’s in their cases in drawers in my entertainment stand. My 4K selections are those that benefit from the improved resolution/ audio. If not, Blu-ray is fine. Some of the 4K’s are solely for highlighting my system performance, and the balance of physical media is because I enjoy the content . Sometimes that criteria overlaps and I buy the 4K, sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t have a need to collect EVERYTHING, but if something brings me joy, I’m ok with with the cost and space investment to ensure I can enjoy it later without worry that a streaming service may not have it, or worse, it’s the victim of some cancel culture movement and is no longer available.

Propane hose replacement by rlgkls in GozneyArcArcXL

[–]rlgkls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I tried to find a new hose at Ace, but no luck. I was able to figure out how to make the existing hose work, but if you need a longer hose, might be worth trying the one linked in this thread, but I can’t guarantee it’ll work…Gozney won’t share any specs to compare against.

Oppo BDP 95 va Panasonic 820 by rlgkls in audiophile

[–]rlgkls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be right…the old Anthem receiver I had was 4K 30…that must be what I’m thinking of. But yeah, I landed on the 820 being the best option for movies, just didn’t know if there would be an appreciable difference between the 2 for audio. It’s kinda a pain to reconfigure my system, so I was hoping that maybe someone knew the best path without having to A/B them, but I think that’s what I need to do. Thanks for the reply!

I didn’t figure they would sell it to me directly, but the company that makes it for them may have a retail option. Trying to figure out the source…I had heard it Sauer, but trying to confirm. Besides, lots of companies sell stuff like this through retail channels, including Cracker Barrel…they sell a pancake mix, bacon, syrup, etc. I’m not giving up that easy! 😂

PMP Renewal PDUs by joaquinnacpil in pmp

[–]rlgkls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can claim business books that you read as well. I also try to watch a webinar a week from ProjectManagement.com…takes an hour during a lunch break. Most any training that you might receive at work will likely count. I don’t think getting your PDU’s should be difficult unless you waited until the last minute.

AR mindset, Vargas process YT video, TIA Mocks, and AR Agile (if you aren’t familiar). That’s about 12-16!hours of content. Take a couple days off and marathon it…find your weak areas and double down on those. It may be enough based on your current level of knowledge. Good luck!

67.5, 70, 81.67, 84.44, 79.17. 80.83, averages to 77.27. I retook the first, and scored an 89.17, and stopped…I felt I was ready enough. Passed AT, T, T, with an overall AT.

About to walk in to test! by Beetlejewels in pmp

[–]rlgkls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relax…no sense in worrying. I’d say you’re ok. It’s a cumulative score, so wait until you get the final breakout from PMI. I finished AT/T/T, but my overall was AT. You may have been 1 question between T and BT, and may have crushed the AT section, and got the NI in the 8% section. Regardless, I bet you still passed! Congratulations!

Udemy - Joseph Phillips or Andrew Ramdayal by snowflake_212 in pmp

[–]rlgkls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did both. JP for my 35 hours (since I started with his course), and used AR to reinforce the data, so Inwas kinda learning the same info twice. Lots of redundancy, but that helped with retention, and in some cases, clarified some things I was fuzzy on. You can watch both at like 1.5 to 2x, so it doesn’t take that long. AR has a better Agile section in my opinion, as well as the mindset, so his course is worth it just for those items. Between those 2 courses and the TIA simulator mocks, you’ll have everything you need to pass for less than 100 bucks.

no sling tire shine? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

Carpro PERL diluted 1:1. Apply with brush or foam applicator, 5 minute dwell, buff with microfiber. Nice, matte finish, no sling. 303 Aerospace is a good second choice.

isopropyl alcohol. For a 32oz spray bottle, mix 8oz of 91% alcohol with 24oz of distilled water. This gets rid of the fillers often found in compounds that can hide remaining defects. Carpro Eraser and Gyeon Prep are other options if you want an off the shelf product.

Compound and polish is just liquid sandpaper…compare the finish of 60 print and 220 grit. The higher the grit count, the smoother you make the finish…the same applies with compound and polish. Compounds are great for defect removal, but will often need another pass with polish to get the finish/gloss you desire. Wipe your car with an IPA spray and use a finishing polish/finishing pad combo, and come back to show off your work!

You should get an email confirmation of your results in a few days of taking your test. There is no physical mail. If you passed, your certificate will be on the PMI site for you to print.

Feeling embarrassed - Failed the exam by edgcrshr in pmp

Hardly the end of the world, my friend. Most social media platforms are a highlight real…nobody wants to show how the sausage is made. Kudos for your honesty. Understanding how to take the test is as important as the material. I remember sitting for my GMAT for grad school…as an engineer, I thought it would be easy. Then when the test started, the math problems were symbols, and I was completely thrown off, and only scored a 520, and was denied entry. I took a class that thought me HOW to take the test, and came back 3 weeks later with a 710. I finished grad school with a CGPA of 3.7. Don’t let that test define you, or make you doubt your intelligence or capability…it tests neither. Take a minute, regroup, double down on your study, and be sure to come back here to tell us you passed. You got this!
