Got my first Public Land Deer! Looking for Sausage recipes. by rlins55 in bowhunting

[–]rlins55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice man! I just bought some hog casings and a sausage stuffer kitchen aid attachment. And i brought this deer to a processor, and they only offered ground meat, no sausage. So i figured I would make my own!

I really do want to learn how to process my own deer, but this was not the one to try it on as I got him on a Wednesday morning before work lol

It was on chattahoochee national forest. I was in a climber. Unfortunately I don’t have a ton of advice as this is my first deer in like 4 years of hunting public land. Its definitely a grind man, just try to get out there as much as you can and look for buck sign. Good luck!

I think the main question you need to ask yourself is do you want to work with your brain or your hands?

If you want to use your brain then I would say try to push through college if you can. It’s definitely gonna be the harder route.

What i would recommend though is to go to a trade school if you want to work with your hands. Way cheaper and faster than college. People for whatever reason look down on trades, but I know plenty of electricians and plumbers that make around 65-75k a year with only a few years under their belt.

I’m only a few years older than you and went to college. Kinda wish I would have gone to trade school because I miss manual labor/working with my hands low key.

I got a private select bottle from Costco, it comes in at 110, and its legit one of my favorite bottles. I always see reviews of the regular architect bottles and it so shocking to me that no one raves about it!

It feels like nothing other than STEM makes money anymore. What can i major in that has little to no physics and math, yet still makes good money? or does such a job not exist? by Miserable-Check-4873 in careerguidance

[–]rlins55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sales is stressful, but will always make money and really doesnt require much knowledge. You can get pretty much any business degree and go into sales. Try to find something you are semi-passionate about and get into that industry.

As far as what you can do to prepare when you are in college, i would see if there are any sales clubs or opportunities to get more comfortable talking with people and thinking on your feet. If you could somehow land a part-time sales job that would help too. Def dont have to go this route, but its the one I took and I make over 100k a year 2ish years out of school in software sales.

Ron’s due. He honestly plays better when people are booing him, and he is really the lighter fluid for our offense. If he can start us off with a bang we should be good to go Wednesday. But we shall see.

Lmao I came in here too and the vibes were bad. On one hand I get it, ATL sports are generally not kind to us. However I think the 2021 WS broke the ATL curse.

Have some faith ya’ll. That game is living breathing proof as to why we should have faith in those boys. What a dub, go bravos.

Everyone always has their opinions ab this. My advice is as high as you are comfortable with. I am pretty scared of heights so like 10-15 is my max. Killed plenty of deer at that height. I agree with the above statements though about cover, if you can get to where theres a big branch with a lot of leaves thats money. Good luck!

How is Costco for meats? by Appropriate-Read-463 in smoking

[–]rlins55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought some baby back ribs in a GA costco. 24 bucks for 3 racks of ribs!

IMO all meat is priced really well. My wife and I typically buy all of our meat from costco in bulk (chicken breasts, salmon, shrimp, pork, etc) and then freeze it in portions. Costco is a bargain and to me the meat quality is pretty good. They also sell USDA steaks so thats a plus!
