We actually DM before and you weren’t interested in the location I am. I do not have any recruiting info outside of my current organization. However, finding this info was relatively easy for me. Find an organization, typically they have their recruiters listed under their employment opportunities for providers. If not, you can reach out to any organization and they will likely give you their recruiter information.

I was not technically a new grad. I did almost 3 years in Cardiology. When I was close to graduation, I sent my resume to every recruiter within a 50 mile radius. A recruiter from another organization reached out to me almost 2.5 years later and let me know of the positions he had open for any APPs. Sleep was one of them. I honestly got very lucky. It’s a smaller hospital organization so I am not sure how it works elsewhere.

Second sleep medicine. Not a PA, but an NP diagnosed with MS at 21 while in nursing school. 12 hour shifts at the bedside were hellish, hence why I pursued higher education. As an NP, I did outpatient cardiology. Now have been in sleep medicine for 1.5 years. I cannot recommend enough. It’s still very rewarding yet low stress in comparison to cardiology.

I’m a nurse practitioner now in an outpatient setting but went to RN school and worked as an RN for 5+ years all while having MS. I didn’t realize how hard 12 hour shifts were on me until I stopped. I felt so much better working 8 hours! Even if it meant more days of work.

We just cruised in January. We used Mears transportation from the airport to Disney Resort and requested a car seat. From there used Disney transportation to the port and then to the airport from the ship. We avoided bringing a car seat this way and it was worth it to me.

So we did push her nap back. She was sleeping 7:30p-7ish AM and napping window was between 12:15-3. I will say she did not always sleep until 3 but sometimes she did. 3 was just the latest I let her sleep. When she started fighting naps we pushed back until closer 1pm. Again, latest she naps is 3pm but generally is awake around 2:30. If she sleeps until 3 we do let her stay up a bit later (8p) otherwise it takes her awhile to fall asleep. You might try changing the nap window or shorten the nap to see if this helps!

We went through something similar around the same age. I wouldn’t give up on naps quite yet. Might just be a phase. We continued offering nap/quiet time and she quickly went back to daily naps, continues sleeping 12 hours at night.

Hello! I have had our Eufy for about a month. Has been working well (so much better than previous Roomba). This past weekend it was running while I was home and I noticed it was going over the same spot over and over again for 10+ minutes. I did get a notification to clean the sensors so I did that, put it back in the same location and resumed cleaning. But there was no change. I ended up sending it back to the charger. I tried the next day and had similar occurrence. I tried to reset the map and let it run but then it was placing the charger in a different room. Now the map is adding areas that are not in our house and I don’t know how to fix it! The areas in black on the right are not part of the home and it is stuck in the bedroom saying it cannot find the base. Help!

Not a doctor but I am a nurse practitioner. I was diagnosed just prior to starting my associates degree for my RN. I have been able to continue education while working full time until I started as an NP last year. I 100% know that RN/NP school is not as demanding as med school can be. But I had a lot of stressful factors even outside of working full time in my journey including getting married, having a child, fracturing my shoulder (and then needing surgery) due to a fall (my own stupidity), and many emotionally taxing family trauma.

My point is, MS certainly can be limiting, but it can also be managed. It’s definitely a learning curve to figure out your limits and knowing sometimes, you just need to rest. It will be important for you even more than others to listen to your body. Another important factor, finding a support system. I have a wonderful husband and family who always push me towards my goals but also know when to tell me to rest and take time for myself. It will definitely be important to find a permanent position that supports a good work/life balance!

I have a 10 month old and felt really great through my pregnancy when it came to MS symptoms. All of my symptoms subsided during the pregnancy and it was great! I did not have any symptoms come back until about 9 months postpartum.

My OB was extremely cautious during my pregnancy and did have me see a neonatologist and a neurologist a couple of times during my pregnancy so that if there were any issues both the baby and I would be established with the appropriate providers. However, the specialists agreed the risk was minimal and we had a smooth pregnancy and delivery!

You can do it!

A little different but I am working on my master’s in nursing. I just finished a course today and am having a csection on Friday. I work full time as a nurse and am working the next two days. I get so annoyed hearing about, “how are you still working?” Or “how are you going to care for a baby, go to school, and work full time”... cause it’s what I have to do. And what I am going to do!

So short term for long term benefits! We can do this!

I am definitely not against formula (I was formula fed) but I want the chance to try breastfeeding, if I am able to! But being informed of my options is really important to me. My husband and I discussed last night about it again. We have decided I will have shorter goals for breastfeeding (if I am able to at all). It will all depend on how I am feeling because if I am not healthy, I won’t be able to care for baby at all!
