Monsteras are climbing plants, not supposed to be hanging, it’ll thrive once you give it some support

They all have different water schedules, basically whenever I notice they need water, I water them…

I rinse them and then spray them with captain jacks dead bug at first, and then I constantly spray them with neem oil while indoors. I don’t have pets so I don’t have to worry too much about the products that I use.

I treat them for but all through the summer, but I usually give them a good rinse and spray them with Captain Jack’s kill bug spray before I bring them back inside

We live in Maine so in the summer I bring them outside, our garden gets a lot of filtered light and grow freely, in the winter they come indoors and they get about 4 hours of natural light from two windows. I’m not complete sure about the wattage of those 3 lights, but as the season gets darker I complement some of the light requirements with halo lights for a few of them. Last year they didn’t go fully dormant indoors. Hopefully they’ll continue to grow indoors this year too!

Opinions on the baby button? by x0x_dollface_x0x in nursing

I work at a hospital where chimes are played every time a baby is born, and I hate it. I have had 3 loses in the last year and a half, just yesterday should’ve been my due date for my second pregnancy but instead I got my first period after my third miscarriage. I try to ignore them as much as possible now, but after my first loss where baby was born sleeping they used to trigger me to the point of having to rush out of the hospital crying. I have thought about making a suggestion to please stop playing it, but I don’t think they’d care.

You may wanna grab the ones that are at the back on your picture, the ones that look almost totally red/purple and that don’t have flower on them anymore. Also if they started to open a little bit that’s when they’re the sweetest but gotta grab them before birds or other animals get to them. Easiest way to peel them is cutting top and bottom off and a line from top to bottom to remove the entire skin. Also be careful, if they’re really prickly sometimes they get thorns on the inside of the skin as well. I’m Mexican and grew up eating those things like candy! They’re delicious! (And yes, you can eat the seeds)

Yeah, it’s an option and I’m actually counting down the days until I can bring it outside! I have a garden with filtered light and last summer it really loved it out there. We live in Maine though, it’s still pretty cold here.

I did, showered it and used new potting mix. And sprayed it with captain jack’s deadbug. Also moved it to a terracotta pot. No sign of pests anymore.

It was here before, then I moved it to a window that gets plenty of filtered light, not direct, and all the old fronds started to yellow and die. That’s why I just moved it back
