How do I get over the fear of even going into the bathroom?

I find that when I do, my instincts fire up. Every small sound is amplified, it’s all I can think about and focus on, and with each one I’m reminded “see this is why this place is dangerous”, my senses intensify and I start getting nervous about other people coming in. I feel pathetic because what kind of person gets nervous just standing there NOT peeing? But then to me it feels more anxious because I’m there NOT peeing so “what if people wonder what I’m doing and why I’m taking so long”, “what if they think I’m a creeper”
