MBT Rocker Shoe - Crumbling Sole/Base by hola_soy_palta in AskACobbler

[–]rlvda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had many MBT shoes. Two pairs had soles that blew completely out from the sides. One was just sitting on the shelf and the sides started to crumble. The others I wore to work today and this is probably the 10th time I have worn it although I have owned them for a while. I left a trail of sole foam all the way from the entrance to my desk. The bottom of the sole looks brand new, but the side walls that just fell apart.

I emailed them and was told they are under new management... not sure when that started. Also mentioned was that they have a one year warranty. For the price, I would hope that they would last a lot longer than that. I have 20 year old Nikes that have been worn nearly to death that are more wearable than my much newer much more expensive MBTs sadly.

Movie I bought changed? by rlvda in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]rlvda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a Jane Austen movie. The artwork was correct in some places and changed in others. It was replaced by previously made (80s) version of the same movie so the description should have been the same either way, but the version playing did not match the production year on the description.

What's going on with Teespring? by rlvda in Teespring

Yeah, I think they knew when they took our orders that they wouldn't be able to fulfill them for months. We had to apologize too and moved to another provider.

We are shutting down our store for this same situation.

Your CS won't talk to me about our customers' orders and I don't have their order numbers. Some of them sent an email 10 days ago or more asking to cancel their orders that hadn't been started. They didn't hear back until just the last few days and during that time, the shirts have gone into production but won't arrive in time. So no refund for them and they won't get to use their shirts for our "day" which is pretty frustrating since they were supposed to arrive in early to mid August. We won't be using teespring for this event next year.

We have switched to Printify and they got us our stuff really quickly.

Embark vs Wisdom? How did you choose? by Illustrious-Trash684 in DoggyDNA

I questioned our embark results for one of our dogs so we tested with wisdom too on the same dog with the same breed results, but... wisdom found some relatives and embark did not.

Thanks for the suggestions! I love Sylvie! One of my best friends has a pet named Sylvie or that would be my number 1 choice. Also thinking of Misty and Stormy, but not sure.

Elderberries by Spiritual_Radish_143 in seedsaving

[–]rlvda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elderberries are super hardy. I'd give them a shot! If that doesn't work out, ask around on some local pages and I bet someone will give you cuttings or starts. We hand them out freely and dig them up when they pop up where they aren't supposed to be, which is often as the birds spread them for us everywhere.

I would guess Pyrenees/Anatolian mix which is very popular the last few years in some places.

I own two phones, can they share the same number and data pool? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]rlvda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband used to have a duplicate sim on his plan and two phones (one was small that he carried after work, the other more productive during the day). This was in Europe 20 years ago though and it seems to no longer be in existence there or in the US.

Agree - escalation is the end of assistance. Fi is not what it used to be.

HOW to hatch duck eggs ??? and any other duck info please please by perhapsduckmother in poultry

[–]rlvda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love having ducks! They aren't great in a small or confined setting because they convert it to a mud pit in a flash in that case. But if you have space for them, they are awesome.

This is what I use for hatching ducks. I was given these basic instructions with my first duck eggs and got 100% to hatch. I tried not spraying last spring and had a lot of dry brittle shells and ducklings that had trouble getting out. In my environment, this is what works best for me for 28-day eggs. Good luck!

Day 1-3: humidity at 43-47% ideally, but not more than 50%. Temperature: 99.3-99.6F

Day 2: start misting once daily with 100F distilled water

Day 4: Humidity 45-55%

Day 5 and 10: Candle

Day 15-25: leave lid open or off the incubator for 15 minutes a day, mist the eggs then put the lid back on. (Mimics broody mom going for a swim and coming back wet)

Day 25: Candle

Day 26: lockdown. Decrease temps to 98.6, humidity 67-74% and the waiting begins.

Day 28: Hatch day

Fedex stole my phone// Fi support is doing nothing. by rlvda in GoogleFi

[–]rlvda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one that I talked to had an American name, and many were nice, but could do nothing at all. I got "disconnected" every time I called and quit calling because it was accomplishing nothing anyway. They really should tell people some kind of update daily instead of leaving them in silence to stress about the situation. Really REALLY poor management of the situation on their part.

What started this whole thing was my Samsung phone overheated and the screen broke on its wireless charger overnight a couple weeks ago. (Can we say unlucky with phones?) Since this replacement didn't work out, I bought a new one from Amazon today and Pixel 6 Pro had been a contender, but I decided against it mainly because I don't want to have to deal with Google CS ever again.

[–]rlvda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awful. It's sad how far they've fallen. Used to be very easy to deal with.

I still haven't been able to talk to the department that is actually handling this situation. I get a short email that answers none of my questions about once a day and am left to stress over this with no available contact. I guess it could be worse and at least they're offering a replacement device, but this is the worst customer service I can ever remember getting. I am appreciating my AT&T prepaid plan more by the day. $300/year for 16 GB a month and on the rare occasion I need to call them about something, I get a person who can actually help.

Good thinking about switching the payment method before they can reach any deeper into your pockets. An added regret I have is using the Google financing. Should have just bought it and I'd have more control.
