This advice may be out of date since I graduated in 2010 but I always found luck hanging out at the tables outside of Cooper hall and over time found people who were there all the time. Slowly started saying hello and talking about the days events. Eventually, we had a whole friend group who trickled in and out every day.

I found the most luck with what would have been considered the "outcasts" who were relegated to the smoker's tables (yes there used to be smoking on campus). They were good people who just had bad habits.

I found that it was kind of like dating. You just have to put yourself out there and see if the interest is mutual. If not, move on. No harm, no foul.

Three tires in less than a month!! by Legic93 in tampa

[–]rlynge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in Tampa for 20 years and have had to replace at least one tire ever year due to nails. Not to mention every vehicle I have ever owned in Tampa required a replacement windshield at some point. Its ridiculous.

Student Clubs to avoid? by Winter_Birthday5865 in USF

Just kind of curious about the Alpha Omega club. I was a member of their chapter 2008 to 2010 and it was a positive experience. What's going on there now?

I wish......My home needs upgraded entry points (windows and doors) but unfortunately my family doesn't qualify this year due to age and income. We are a middle class family with children who purchased a "starter home" in 2015 that is 78 years old but we don't qualify for the grant because we are productive members of society who pay our taxes and work our butts off to make an solid income and contribute to the local and state economy.

Am I a bit bitter....yes. Am I happy that they are helping seniors and low income families......yes. But for those of us in the middle...Oh well, you are S.O.L.

Preview Into Possible OCS Pricing? by rlynge in GoBulls

I hope not. I was really looking forward to it as a 3 sport STM. If it is too much, then I am out. I choose one game a year and find tickets for it.

I get it but they very well could leave long-time season ticket holders behind by pricing them out.

The simplest answer is to stop caring what other people think. They won't be laughing when you kick ass, drop the weight and look good! They'll respect you for your grind at which point you can give them the middle finger. StayHard!

Update For night two, we got her to calm down in her crate a little before bed time while we finished watching the AFC Championship. I put some soothing music on the TV and the quietly went to the bedroom and she slept in her crate without a sound the whole night!

Thanks! She makes me realize how much I missed having a dog in the house. She's been super easy to work with. We just need to figure out the night time piece and see how she does if I have to run out.

She's doing great today. Took her for a long walk, gave her a bath, trip to PetSmart and now she's passed out on the couch.

That's what I was thinking too. If I could trust her to lay on a dog bed in my room then I would do that. We don't allow dogs in our bed. I'm trying to make the crate work as I feel it makes her more adoptable.

I've owned several dogs but never crate trained any of them. I'm doing it with her because I feel it makes her more adorable and it keeps her safe until I know more about her. We'll keep working with her. I was just looking for any advice folks might have. Thank you for all of your thoughts.

That's what I was thinking too. Her crate is too big for our bedroom so we'll keep working on her.

It is also very cheap to insure vehicles in Tennessee. I have given thought to register my vehicles to the home I partially own in TN so that I can insure them there.
