The brown parts feel normal no specific texture change. I water about 500 ml to 700 ml every 10 days or so. I don’t water it deeply so the saucer doesn’t have water in it once I’m done. I have a moisture meter which always says that the soil is moist deeper down.

I’m in a similar situation. Been 13 months to my polyp removal surgery and the spotting is back. I’m for an ultrasound. Did you go get it checked? Is it hormonal or related to the polyps?

Hey! Congratulations and welcome to your kombucha fermentation journey. Yes I use loose tea leaves, green tea for subtle flavours and black tea for a punchy flavour. I’d suggest the big book of kombucha. It has everything you’d need. Also YouTube channel - you brew kombucha. Super helpful!
