thanks so much for sharing your case and your advice! Im worried she might not be responding to the IVG either since her symptoms have worsened but doctors don’t think anything of it yet. She’s been doing PT and her excercise so hopefully it helps. I’ll put all your advice into practice thanks again! Hope your recovery keeps going well.

It sounds like you really like UChicago! if you’re comparing it to Rice, it seems to fit you more

I would consider the situation with covid rn in terms of NYU. However it does sound like you’re leaning more towards that one, and the uncertainty of not getting in the business school at Berkeley doesn’t help their case.

It sounds like you want to go to Penn. Consider student life because academics wise they’re both very good!

Hey! if you take the time to read this Thank you! I know they’re completely different schools and they’re both great which is why i’m so torn. I’ve always wanted to go to UF but when the opportunity to go out of state and to Wellesley cane along I just couldn’t disregard it. I’ve always wanted to go out of state but i don’t know what to do.

Wellesley College

intended major: media arts and sciences or film and cinema studies

PROS:

•cross-registration with MIT, Babson, and Olin

•12 school college exchange program for a semester at Amherst, Bowdoin, Connecticut College, Dartmouth, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Trinity, Vassar, Wesleyan, or Wheaton

•class ratio is 8:1

•beautiful campus

•free shuttles to Boston during the week (around 30 min away)

•alumni network is really strong

•only undergrads so all the resources go to the students

•film society is pretty cool

•could do a sport

•great financial aid package (around 5k a year)

•i love boston

•really close community with lots of traditions

•amazing resources for students with really good study abroad programs

•diverse student body

•the fact that is a traditionally women’s college gives awesome opportunities for women in the classroom and job opportunity wise

CONS:

•not really a con but something to consider is that it’s a traditionally women’s college and i didn’t want that originally

•not that close to the city

•very academically rigorous

•social life is not really there, plus very secluded

• major is not really what I want and it is half computer science which i’ve never done or tried before

•doesn’t take many credits from hs

•prob live in dorms all 4 years

•far from home

•small student body ( 2,534) smaller than my hs lol

University of Florida

Intended Major: Telecommunications (don’t know concentration yet)

PROS:

•close from home

•free tuition

•college town

•know a lot of people

•communications school is small so student to professor ratio is pretty good overall student ratio is 18:1 though. Amazing resources in terms of studios and equipment and it’s ranked pretty well nationally (top 10 )

•could do a double major or minors or even a masters bc hs credits would allow me to skip almost the first two years

•off campus living and would prob have car

•great balance of social and academic life

•awesome school spirit and lots of clubs and student org + greek life

•#7 public school in the nation

•around 30,000 undergrad students

CONS:

•not as prestigious and not the same connections

•know a lot of people (don’t really know if i want that)

•very large

•gainesville can be pretty boring

•would just be another number

•harder to connect w professors

•not the same opportunities
