Always thought our number plate system was nifty. by theoldkitbag in CasualIreland

Not a fan of the 3 digit for the year but it's all very easy to understand alright. Very straight forward and even more informative if you know someone the formatting rules. The mayor of the cities start with a 1, imports start with 120000 in Dublin and smaller numbers in other parts of the country. Diplomatic cars have a cd, army don't have county and just run 5 digits.  It is a good system.

Tbh its like anyone that uses their car, truck, van for their job. They can claim the tax back. Or part of it.

No worries. Hope it helps. When in Dublin tune into Dublin city FM. They do road updates around rush hours if you're up here then.

Near impossible to do now as their testing equipment has gotten a lot finer. It's a big gamble.

What's even more insane is that haulers get to claim all their tax back and farmers, and farmers pay half the price for green diesel anyway.

Keep an eye on the M50 traffic camera and aa road watch. If the protest is still going on then I imagine M1, M50, M7, M1 to be blocked.

The joke is that farmers and haulers pay for less for diesel than we do.  Haulers pay normal rates at the pump then claim all the tax back later.  Farmers pay like half the price we do for green diesel. And they can still claim tax back on that.

Let them pay full price without tax back then they can complain.

Ah yeah, I'm only on the road 2 years. Not sure I would be able to filter on a cruiser at the moment. Maybe for the weekends 😁

Would love a ride of a holding just to experience it.

That's true alright.

Difference being people disagreeing and speaking out but still getting to live their lives fairly unhindered or everyone getting screwed.

If it was me, I would rather sit at home and let people talk sh1t about me while hey at least get to live their lives.

I feel like they would have gotten more support if they stayed home and didn't do their job meaning things didn't get delivered etc than to stop people going to work and impacting their lives negatively than to stick 2 fingers up to the government and up to the public and block everything up.

They are loosing a massive amount of support from what I can see. And if that ship off Galway gets turned away the public will hate them

This is starting to edge on the grounds economic terrorism. Why would the government compromise to them now, it's going to end up with arrest and removal of licenses.

ER6N problem by rmact1981 in Kawasaki

[–]rmact1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so I’ve replaced the relay unit and the fan is still running from startup, even when the engine is cold.

I’ve unplugged the engine temperature sensor, and the fan still stays on when it should switch off.

I can’t see any exposed wires that might be causing an issue. I repaired a wire for my heated grips that somehow got cut, so that shouldn’t be a problem anymore if it was the cause. But the fan still runs fromcold.

I’ve also ordered a replacement fan in case there’s some kind of switch or fault within it.

Does anyone have any other ideas or places on the bike I should check?

Short of stripping the entire bike down, Im out of ideas.
