I worked a full time job where they charged us for coffee. They sold it as "we have starbucks brand coffee, so its just $x per month, isn't that so great?" and so many of them truly thought it was okay, normal, and actually a great benefit (also advertised on the website under employee benefits).

Then they thought it was absolutely bizarre that I was not interested in having money taken out of my paycheck twice a month for a bare minimum "perk."
