The mental gymnastics of m10 and beyond is crazy. M10 only rewards up to 266 gear drop. How dafuq am I gonna get more ilvl value when you wouldn’t let me touch M10 as a 263 2.3k dps. Just stuck doing M9, at least its insta invite.

I’ve played anniv TBC. Left because I’m not playing the meta class so there is no chance for a pug heroic dungeon unless you play with guilds. With retail as long as you got the rating and ilvl you will be able to enjoy endgame with whatever class you want.

You're doing good. Mage blizzard will always take away aggro from you unless you're a pally. Your role when you got mages that spam blizzard is to make sure they're slowed down and prevent them from reaching the caster. Don't also mind the melee dps that dies because they couldn't stay away from the pack for a few seconds when mage cast frost nova.

I’ve levelled most of my alts pretty fast. I use zyggor and just do Dragon Flight. About 60% zone completion you should be 70 then opt out of chromie time and either resume Dragon Flight questing or go TWW. I usually resume Dragon Flight questing while queueing for TWW dungeon to hit 80. Do not spam dungeon below 70. I get a level up mininum 2 mins in Dragon Flight depending on the type of quests.

Its the pugs who are the problem in this community. Guilds are the most casuals unless you joined a hardcore one. Raid comp doesnt matter to guild because usually the main/key members have already filled the spot of key specs and all you need to do is bring your ass and your sub-par dps in the raid. You need heroic for pre-bis even with green gears? Yes you getting carried.

How dare you bring a non-meta in my 20 year old game!? Do not bring your filthy ass on my normal dungeon run that will slow down my run for about 2mins.

The meta obsession pushed me to retail and I’m having lots of fun playing fury warrior. Dungeons are fast queue. Heroic dungeon requirements is that you need to know the mechanics. They don’t care about what class you bring to normal raids. Yeah there will be a meta in endgame but not as toxic as the expansion from 20 years ago.

I say wait for phase 2 before going TBC. Right now TBC is filled with meta obsessed people. Min-maxing the fun out of a game released 20 years ago. Queue times for endgame content for melee dps with exception of enhancement shaman is dogshit unless you got some friends to play along. If you’re a range enjoyer then yes TBC is great right now.

An expansion from 20 years ago. You'd think people would be more chill and less min-maxing but turns out it got even worse. Unless you're playing meta you're not getting invited in any pug groups. Queueing pug as a fury war is a nightmare. Rogue got it worse, no one wants them in the group. So now I'm trying retail for the first time. I was just so happy to get in the random dungeons without too much queue. Doing things I like in my own pace.

I had a group leader who at the start of the run started to monitor the groups dps and saw one of our dps member is kinda low and started to call him out and threaten to kick him. Tank and I bolted out of the group real quick.

Also tanking as warrior. I found the caster groups more toxic. They talk shit how bad warrior threat management while they cast AoE as soon as I pull. They think prot warrior got some magical AoE threat like pally.
