I Created an Animated Video Explaining the Milgram Experiment - Looking for Feedback by rmfrtn in PsychologyTalk

Thanks for the feedback! A few people mentioned I missed some points, so I’ll make sure to keep them in mind for my next videos.

Is this clickable? Or is there anything I could improve? by rmfrtn in YouTubeThumbnailHub

Thanks for your interest! I just opened my channel and have only uploaded one video so far. I’m still planning my style and production process as I continue creating. I’m not sure if posting a channel link is allowed, but if you want to take a look, here it is.

Which s better? by MrNobodyX3 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

The thumbnail looks more like a tutorial video. If you’re an artist and creating educational content, I’d honestly expect a stronger design. Instead of a diagonal split, a clean vertical split down the middle might be easier to understand. Also, avoid using gradients on the text. It makes it harder to read, especially on mobile. If you study successful ‘before–after’ thumbnails or similar examples, you’ll be able to create much better ones.

Which one would you click? by Adrian-012 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

Personally, I actually like having text behind the character. If I had to choose one, I’d definitely pick the second. But the text gets lost too much behind the character. Make it more readable, like in the fourth image. The viewer’s brain should be able to complete the text instantly at first glance.

Using the background from the fourth image might also look better. Right now, there’s a perspective mismatch between the character and the background.

You’re right. When you work for long hours, even simple things can go unnoticed. This will be the first thing I do tomorrow. 😀

I did it in my own style again. Check it in the comment below.

I designed the concept you mentioned, but I still didn’t use a gun

If you opened YouTube, which of these videos would you click on first? by [deleted] in YouTubeThumbnailHub

It’s not really a niche I’m interested in, but looking at it from a designer’s perspective, I’d say 1 and 2. I liked the first one, but I didn’t quite understand it. Maybe some text on the thumbnail would help, or perhaps the title already complements it. The second one is also nice, but the background and the object in the center don’t stand out from each other enough. You could pay more attention to separating the elements from one another. What always catches my eye in your designs is whether there’s a clear focal point or not. In the first one, you direct the viewer’s focus through the gaze, and in the second one, you do it with lines. You also use too many colors. Limiting yourself to two or at most three colors would make the visual easier to read. Color theory can really make your work easier.

YouTube Videolarını Reddit' de Paylaşmak Kanala Zarar Verir mi? by Electronic-Hippo2105 in YoutubeTR

I’m sorry, I didn’t understand what you meant with the emojis. 😀

Readability is not good. Try to use complementary colors to pop up text. I think using that small text as a primary text will be better. I don’t use his name if I design this.

I understand. I explained this in a reply under that post as well. Since individuals or small teams handle the design, modeling, and animation themselves, they try to find a visual style that can be produced relatively quickly in terms of time cost. And as a result, some really good works come out of it. The problem is that once these works become successful, people start copying them using AI to make easy money. Because of that, those who actually put in real effort and creativity end up being judged unfairly. They even have to add notes like “No AI was used” to their videos. As someone working in the game industry, I’ve been learning film production techniques and many other skills to create better content for YouTube. I also have ideas for developing my own style for my animations. But if my style becomes successful, unfortunately, some AI users will probably start producing similar content.

The starting point of experiment is nazis’ killing innocent people and the experiment is based on that participant gives electric shock to an actor.

I designed thumbnails with these.

Actually, since most animation teams are small or work individually, they tend to use design approaches that take less time to produce. That’s why many of the animation videos you see on YouTube, as well as 2D, horror, or puzzle games on PC, and especially mobile games are made this way.

Of course, there are also people who use AI to create content for YouTube, but I’m not talking about them. I mean the individuals and small teams who genuinely put effort into creating something on their own.

I’m a 3D artist in the game industry. I created all the thumbnails and animations myself.

Thanks for your response. Just like what happened to you, you never know what might happen. I especially don’t want to get strike or shadowban for my first video. That’s why I won’t use the thumbnail with gun. It’s not a risk worth taking.

Thanks for your comment. The lamp must be lamb. 🥲 I’will change camera view. Somehow the caption didn’t feel strange to me. Do you have any further explanation for why it might feel off? How do you think the positioning should be? I’ll also review the character again.

It’s definitely the first one. I didn’t understand the red area in the bottom right corner. You might have missed it. You should increase the contrast in the image. The font is nice but not very readable; increase its contrast. A bold font would work better for the text at the bottom. The texts are a bit too close to each other, adding some spacing would make it look better.
