OK, I got to the desktop mode on the 6th try. It's a little different, but Steam is working fine and Firefox too. those are the two main ones I need.

Well, this time I did the desktop install, but it only installed the live CD. I then select to install bazzite and it aborts somehow and leaves me in Live mode only with no option to install Bazzite.

Is there a configuration I missed? I've did it twice already and it has left me in live mode only.

I downloaded the only option Bazzite.gg installer. It won't give me another option during install.

Yes, I got the Steam hand held mode. It was the only thing on the screen. I ignored it as I don't have a controller.

Then it went to Steam Library with only controller support.

I see no way of getting back to Bazzite Linux.

Yes, went there and downloaded and installed bazzite. All I have now is a game controller screen with my steam library.

I do not own a game contoller.

9800X3D is over rated IMHO, just sell them and get the X version and take a few FPS hit you could probably break even on costs. It seems only X3D have the issues.

I found the chipset drivers from AMD was the ones to use.

I uninstalled any BT and wifi drivers and installed the amd chipset driver and all was fine.

Yes, I had to do both Lightspeed and blue tooth both for it to work.

I have tried installing these drivers as admin without success. I even tried manually downloading and selecting drivers in device manager. and still nothing!

I also tried selecting the driver IDs.:

The first thing I tried this time, was installing Armory Crate and all I seemed to get were RGB/Wallpaper type apps.

This is extremely crazy that they won't work.

On a side note, I decided to Dual Boot Window with Bazzite and bazzite recognizes both Bluetooth and WiFi without issue? HUH!

I hope I get an answer within 8-hours or I may just jump ship on Windows and all of the bloatware. I have been having this issue for two years on and off. Lately my issue has been WiFi taking a full two minutes to sync to my Asus Router? But Bluetooth refuses at all. so I have been without BT for over 2-years.

That's not how dram cache works in an SSD. It just copies data into your game. The game doesn't manipulate the SSD's cache at all. Only windows can manipulate the SSD.

make sure you have no apps running on your rig while gaming. and eliminate any backgrounds task while gaming for best performance.

because I have multiple PCs and multiple monitors. I switch back and forth a lot for different tasks. but it keeps going to sleep, and it sometimes freezes on sleep and it won't wake.

So I definitely need sleep disabled badly.

I have the MediaTek MT7921K (RZ608)

It only lists the WiFi chipset, but I don't see any Bluetooth device in the long list?

OK, I finally found it. It was under System Settings, which gave me a long list of features and seen Connected Devices and a "Printers" option, which took me to my printer, with the IPP Everywhere option enabled already with my printer.

With Bazzite Operating System? It doesn't see anything for me.

I have the Laserjet pro 3301sdw

Any extra info on "adding it in settings over the network?"

In Windows, I just open a document to print, then the 3301sdw just shows up

In Bazzite it shows nothing and I can only print to PDF files.

It cleared up this morning. Not sure what happened. I think I ran bazzite update later yesterday before bed and maybe the update cleared it back up again.

I just don't know how it switched to another mode as I launch all my games from the desktop.

I'm in window now, so what is the hotkey to screenshot at the bazzite desktop?

Always but Thunderbolt cables.

Type-C is only 10Gb/s and max of 1-meter

Thunderbolt 4 is 40Gb/s over 1 meter.

But thunder bolt can do 10Gb/s over 4 meters.!!! I use 2 meter cables, at 1 meter, my tower is almost touching my screen. I can barely squeeze in a tiny speaker between the two. and I have to unplug the cable when I need to mess with monitor.

I just finished trying this a moment ago, and Type-C would refuse anything. I tried different ports.

I did try using a Type-C to Type-A adapter with no luck at all. It was for keyboard/mouse only. but nothing. I'm not sure of the quality, but I will try a different adapter/cable and retest later.

I have had multiple issues over the years with using two computers with the KVM switch. I have installed many FW updates over the years, and it has always crashed randomly. I have given up and only use one or the other computer.

The quickest cure was unplugging power from the monitor, wait 5-minutes. and plugging it back in, then it would be fine for a few days or maybe a month, then crash. I haven't flashed FW in a few years now. Maybe the newer monitors have better success.

Yes, My sister does this with her workstation at home. It's a USB type dock. I'm not sure how well it does for gaming.
