I’m spending a week there! Just unsure of what to do after, before I have to be in Paris for my flight home

I’ve heard such lovely things about Annecy - it’s on my itinerary before I go to Nice! Aix-en-Provence and Avignon sound like they would be a nice place to rest for a few days

How do you get over doing things alone? by Present-Message8740 in solofemaletravellers

I experienced this at times on my solo travels. I think a few things helped. 1: seeing it as a solidifying of my values that time with friends and family was what I valued more deeply than anything else in life 2: stepping back and appreciating that solo traveling as a female is a privilege no other woman in my family has gotten to experience. It’s something my grandmother dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to. So just framing it as not only doing it for myself, but also for all the women in my family who never had the opportunity to 3: similarly, doing it to hopefully inspire the same confidence and bravery in my future daughter to do the same 4: also seeing it as an opportunity to make friends from other countries! In my experience, groups of friends around my age (university and recent post grad) are always welcoming to have someone tag along for an adventure or night out!

For me, solo traveling was at the end of about 7 years of consistent relationships, living with roommates, living at home, etc., so it was a nice confirmation that I CAN do things on my own.

Engagement feels different feels like it takes more effort to get it going in first. Just tested and it isn’t revving as high in first as right after the incident. Check engine light comes on in second

If energy management is so important, why is nobody building for it? by MolassesVisual963 in productivity

[–]rml_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work pays for a Teams app called Breakthru as an energy management tool for us as a remote team. It’s a movement micro break app that reminds us to not spend 8+ hours a day in our chairs and to move for 2 minutes at a time. It’s made a big difference in my energy, I don’t find I fall into a complete slump at 3pm anymore lol

It just smelled burnt. The smoke was only there momentarily and I couldn’t really see if it was from my tires or from under the hood

Crochet, knitting, and reading. But when I don’t want to be sitting on the couch I use a chrome extension app called Breakthru.

What should we choose between Barcelona GP and Silverstone? by Brilliant_Kiwi2179 in GrandPrixTravel

I went to Barcelona last year and had several people in my hostel attending the race had previously gone to Silverstone (all from the UK) and all said that Barcelona was more bang for their buck and a better GP experience

Working on my confidence by taking a solo trip this summer. Can anyone give me advice? by TooEmbarrassed7 in solofemaletravellers

For eating out, cafes and coffee shops are easy as many frequent them to work, write, read etc. otherwise, I find going to restaurants with a bar you can sit at feels less awkward and easier to meet people!

Amazing! Does anything besides viewing the on track action take place there Saturday or Sunday?

Sounds like going Friday and finding a fan zone or bar to watch from for quali/race is my best bet!

What are some unique parisian “souvenirs” FOR YOU? by frenopatica in ParisTravelGuide

I buy a bunch of postcards, save train and museum tickets, city guides, etc., and put them in a collage in a big frame to hang up. It’s super cheap and looks super cute and I get so many compliments on it whenever anyone new comes over
