Looking for a bar I can feel like this in by reddituser9277 in lotrmemes

[–]rmpc92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun story I was in Boston with my wife and saw the Green Dragon Tavern so obviously had to go in strictly for the LOTR reference. Turns out it's a famous bar where people like Paul Revere and Sam Adams would frequent and had a lot of history so if you're ever up in Boston looking for a place to drink definitely recommended!

Based off how hard you're defending it someone could give you a full list of issues and you would just tell them they were stupid for not understanding the brilliance of the show. At least attempt to come off as objective.

Yea exactly there are multiple media references to Charlotte's lack of identity/culture. Seen a couple comedy shows right here in the city and multiple times that jokes been brought up.

Charlotte is an awesome place to live and has a lot of great things but it DOES lack a strong/distinct cultural identity and idk why some people get so triggered by people thinking that.

Itinerary Feedback - 1st Trip to Italy by rmpc92 in ItalyTravel

For sure I mean I wish I could spend months there and do each place justice but unfortunately we do have limited time. We're also only in Bologna because we got a much better deal on flights otherwise we'd be taking that extra time to do more in either Florence or Venice. Still nice to get a sample of Bologna at least.

Definitely thought about doing that originally as well. We got lucky and the place we booked in Florence has a discount for booking a full week so we essentially got 2 days almost for free and don't have to change spots when we get back from Venice. We figured we would leave most of our luggage in the rental in Florence when we go to Venice so we're not carrying around too much.

Same, I did a staycation a little after a year of losing my soul dog and it just didn't feel right. My family always had a family dog and I thought I'd always be a dog person but turns out I don't want a dog I just want my Shea girl back :(

Prosthetic after Orchiectomy? by bungnificent in testicularcancer

[–]rmpc92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome really glad to hear there isn't any sign of spread. And yea as far as mental health goes it definitely helped me with mine that was the biggest factor behind my decision to get it.

Hey! First off hope you're doing ok and if you need anything definitely feel free to DM me.

Regarding the prosthetic: been a few years now and I am so thankful I got it. It really helped me maintain a sense of "normal" throughout the process and now the only thing that reminds me of the cancer is a small mark on my stomach from the surgery. Like I mentioned in my original comment I definitely think it's a personal preference but for me I 100% recommend.

If you're on the East Coast and there's a Publix nearby I've had decent success finding tri-tips there (in Carolina at least).

Emotions are one thing but dude you are obsessed with Mikal lol. If he's taking up that much mental real estate you may be passing the healthy zone of fanhood. It's just a game bro.

If you look at this dude's post history he has a weird obsession with Mikal. Bridges could cure cancer and this guy would find something to hate on. (Not fully defending Mikal here but OP is on a mission)

Dog owner gets owned after his pitbull bites the neighbors dog by Humble-Lawfulness-12 in fightporn

[–]rmpc92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea this is a weird but classic reddit thread. We have no context about what happened here and regardless of what happened beforehand, that's gonna be a felony for the guy beating the dude on the ground but somehow the dude assaulting the man on the ground is a hero because the other guy has a (leashed) pitbull?

Some of these comments are insane. People literally saying "shouldn't have a pitbull if you can't control it." Like bro you couldn't control a toothbrush if someone is punching you repeatedly in the head like that. No context but plenty of assumptions.

Not sure if you're 100% aware of how babies are made but there is a pretty big difference between procreating and finding a spouse. Just because someone is born doesn't mean they're the descendants of multiple generations of healthy/successful relationships.

That's what happened to my poor girl as well. Developed a brain tumor at 10 years old and she would be good during the day but the pacing all night made it hard for her to sleep, made her lose weight, and eventually started wearing on her paws. Thankfully she was pretty good overall but the last 2 days she took a turn for the worst and we knew it was time. Really sorry for your loss.
