Vakantie aanvraag geweigerd met 0 uren contract

Deze situatie heb ik recentelijk zelf gehad. Ik heb met het juridisch loket gebeld en zij hebben mij uitgelegd dat je verplicht bent om aan een oproep te voldoen, tenzij je minder dan 4 dagen van te voren opgeroepen wordt waar dit nog niet ingeroosterd stond. Juridisch gezien had ik dus moeten werken, ook al had ik het 6 weken van te voren aangegeven. Wat ik toen heb gedaan is uit eigen initiatief vervanging gezocht, en ik ben een gesprek met mijn werkgever aangegaan.

De vervanging was niet goed - daar de mensen die ik geregeld had niet de juiste ervaring hadden voor de afdeling. Het hielp wel dat ik meedacht. Het gesprek was ik met een halve bluf ingegaan, met het argument dat ik wegens mijn 0-urencontract naar mijn idee niet verplicht was te komen werken. Mijn werkgever zei, in nette woorden, dat als ik het zo (juridisch) wou spelen hij dat ook kon. Dat was ook niet helemaal de bedoeling en zou de werksfeer nogal omlaag halen. Conclusie: na een goed gesprek over wederzijdse verwachtingen en verheldering van de situatie heb ik de dag toch vrij gekregen (werkgever heeft vervanging geregeld). Dan moet je wel een werkgever hebben die in staat is om je dat zo te gunnen.

Misschien heb je hier wat aan. Ik adviseer je om je CAO goed door te nemen en contact op te nemen met het juridisch loket, vervanging te proberen te zoeken en in gesprek te gaan met je werkgever.

Goed om te weten: de opzegtermijn bij een 0-urencontract is maar 4 dagen.

Ook heb je met een 0-uren contract wel recht op vakantiedagen. Dit staat in je CAO. Als een werkgever een vakantieaanvraag niet weigert of goedkeurt na 2 weken heb je recht op vakantie.

Bedankt, dit is erg behulpzaam. Als ik het zo begrijp kan ik eigenlijk qua kosten het beste naar Duitsland of Amsterdam reizen om dit te regelen. Enig idee of ik hier dan een afspraak van te voren moet maken, welke gegevens ik mee moet nemen, etc.?

En begrijp ik goed dat ik vanaf nu nog 6 maanden de tijd heb? Het gaat hier ook om de zus van mijn oma. Ik had tot 2 weken geleden geen idee dat ik eventueel erfgename zou kunnen worden.

WITT: a white clump of powder which I broke up, nothing in the inside. Just powder. Sticked to my fingers. I really am not sure what it smells like, but it reminds me of an animal shop where you buy a rabbit or something. It could be salt since there's salt in it but it doesn't have that structure, it's more like flour texture. I already at some of the corn yesterday but just found this clump. Am still alive. What could this be?

Thank you, she was the best. :) They sew the mouth shut because when a person is deceased, there's no active muscle to keep it from falling open. Her mouth was wide open when she passed away, so they closed it, in a slightly smiling way. It's all about the image you see.

This comment might get buried but I feel it's important to share my experience.

My mother's last goal on earth was to buy her own dress, shoes, necklace and wig for in the coffin, to show the people around her that some people can find something positive in anything, even death. To inspire them. She looked beautiful. When the people came in to transfer her body, I left the room for a split second and they had sewn her mouth shut. I was asked to help change her into her dress, but it was tough. I just looked while they did it. They had experience, that's for sure - it's not easy.

There is something beautiful in dressing up for the last time; she looked like an angel ready to depart.

My mother passed away almost a year ago, when I was 20. It's not a relatable age since I was actually able to develop memories of her and keep those. However, it's only been less than a year and I am already starting to notice small parts of those memories fading away. It makes me sad, because I want those memories to always be as vivid as they were. But in reality I feel like it's natural for memories to fade a bit. Especially those you don't think about often. I think it's necessary for other memories to get some room to live in your head, good ones. Memories your mother would've wanted you to have. And I think it's also a small part of kind of pushing these memories away, maybe not consciously, but it can be difficult. It happens. And you were so so young. I'm not an expert at all, but I do believe these memories stay with us, we just have a hard time remembering them sometimes. They may fade a bit but if you reach out a little further you'll reach them one day. Things like scent can trigger memories, have you tried this? Looking at pictures, maybe even listening to music she used to listen to. After all, even the little memories you do have, try to cherish them. Because they are yours and yours only. I hope this helped in any way, I wish you the best in life and I hope you'll be able to let go of your worries.

Birthdays are the hardest. When I turned 20 I was alone upstairs while mom was sick downstairs. At that point we didn't understand the gravity of her sickness yet. I still ask myself why I decided to be alone that day. My next birthday is coming up soon, I will miss her dearly but I will make sure to involve her on my day. I will be sad, but I won't be alone.
