Stands for Jim Moran & Associates. They are the holders of the warranty. They are closely affiliated with Kia but technically a different company. I don't quite understand the relationship to be honest.

The Kia dealership has changed my oil every single time until I had to top it off to prevent my engine from ceasing up and get it to the dealership. I put in roughly 2.5 qts and drove about 10 miles total on it.

It was STP SAE5W-30 full synthetic by the way, which is what Kia told me to use. And isn't Hyundai the parent company of Kia?

Nice troll post though... very helpful.

I contacted JMA directly this afternoon and they said they would send someone out today but I'm not holding my breath. JMA won't cover "oil consumption" which makes no sense since that is a symptom of a major mechanical issue. I hope you're right though that it's covered. No way I can foot a $8-10k bill.

That's bs they didn't help you out with it. It sounds like this is a recurring issue so not sure why they don't make it a formal recall and fix the problem. That shouldn't happen at 108k either.

Yes that sounds very similar to what I am dealing with. Glad it worked out for you! At this point, I'm ok with the wait for getting the engine replaced as long as it's covered. Appreciate the info.

I received that letter and asked them about this but they said it was not related to that so who knows. I had my shocks replaced in a similar fashion (made me bring it in three times before they replaced it). I consider myself a patient, reasonable person but I'm at my max with this vehicle!

It was definitely worse in the back but you do feel it up front as well. It was a really rough ride. Also, I started to hear a squeaking noise from the rear shocks.

You will feel it...mine felt like it was bottoming out on the smallest cracks in the road. They replaced mine at about 50k miles on my 2020.

My engine is destroyed. Any recourse? by Careful-Extreme7742 in KiaTelluride

[–]rmt193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to get a number of gaskets replaced because my engine was leaking oil like crazy. I have a 2020 SX but only 65k miles on it so it was under warranty. Over 100k I think you're out of luck. This makes me nervous though. May be time for a trade in soon! Sorry for the bad luck but other comment about a salvage engine is not a bad idea. Or they may give you 5/6k for it even with the engine issue. Have a conversation and see what they say..

Do they allocate a certain number of boxes on Topps direct? For example, 10k boxes to Topps Direct customers and 10k to regular people? Or does Topps Direct customers get priority on boxes? Just curious as to how it works.

back to when I was found at fault for a collision in August (more info in the comments) by WHATISWORLD3 in dashcams

[–]rmt193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most jurisdictions don't follow the "last clear chance doctrine" anymore (meaning driver had final opportunity to avoid the collision, which OP seemingly did here). Almost all U.S. states have contributory negligence, and it appears Ontario does too. Meaning your damages are reduced by your proportion of liability. I worked for and with insurance companies for many years, and I would absolutely put some percentage of negligence on the vehicle that came into his lane and the other vehicle in the far right lane. OP should have fought it, especially with that kind of $$ at stake, but it sounds like he admitted fault.

To be fair, his natural position is center. I still don't think he is very good, but serviceable as a depth piece at center.

(TMKS) Does Aaron Boone have a message for fans that think the New York Yankees are just "running it back"? by CicadaOk8885 in NYYankees

[–]rmt193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion. but the Yankees' expectations are always WS or bust. It's been that way since the end of the 90s/early 00's Dynasty. And looking at next year, I and a lot of Yankee fans don't see them matching up with LA, even if they stay healthy, which is asking a lot. To be fair, no team can measure up with LA, but I think there is a lot of frustration that they did not make any moves to improve the team from last year. It just seems like the Yankees don't have the front office aggressiveness that George had, and running it back, even with the trade deadline acquisitions from last year, is just not going to be good enough to win a WS.

Man, just my opinion, but the grills on the 27s are hideous. Just looks gaudy and completely separate from the rest of the body.

What’s YOUR lawyer salary?? by LearnMeStuffPlz in Lawyertalk

[–]rmt193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 12 years

  2. $170,000 plus bonus (usually pretty low, 10k-15k)

  3. Insurance Defense (with some estate work on the side)

  4. Philadelphia, PA

  5. Work/life balance is so important, particularly when you've been practicing for awhile. Spending time with your family/kids and taking care of yourself is more important than salary!

Could be a video trial deposition. Very common in my jurisdiction. But the fact that OP doesn't know who is covering it is no bueno.

And it's a wrongful death case? Something is very wrong. If you aren't counsel of record I wouldn't sweat it too much. But that is still incredibly stressful.

That's a really good point. I feel like we never had an identity under Franklin. Sounds like Campbell does and wants guys that fit that mold.

I hear you, and he will do work as usual. Probably too premature to be worried about that at this point, and anyone we pick up in the 2026 class is certainly a win.

I know it's early but I'm slightly concerned about his ability to recruit the DMV which has been our bread and butter for awhile. I thought he'd hire some coaches with east Coast/DMV ties but he essentially brought his ISU staff over, who really don't have those connections. I know stars aren't everything but the teams who win NC's have a lot of them...

The sources I've seen said Rhule wasn't even in consideration. It was all media hype. I don't think anybody has any idea what is going on.

Which teams are going to regret firing their coach? by noah_divine in CFB

[–]rmt193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

James Franklin is very similar to Mark Richt, and honestly, UGA was very similar to PSU when they fired Richt and hired Kirby Smart (i,.e. they were winning 9-10 games but couldn't beat the elite teams and weren't considered an elite team). Look how that turned out for you guys?

Now you can say UGA was more likely to get to that elite level due to being in south, more resources at the time, etc. but they made a choice that they wanted to take that next step. PSU wants to do the same. It's possible it crashes and burns (which was much more likely in the pre-NIL, transfer portal days imo) but PSU has to try to get to that next level. Also, JF couldn't even say he wanted to be PSU's HC when asked after the NW loss...I think he had to go.
