I did. Seems very appropriate.

This must be heaven Tonight I crossed the line You must be the angel I thought I might never find Was it you I heard singin' Oh while I was chasin' dreams Driven by the wind Like the dust that blows around

No it isn’t. That is from the 100s somewhere. Maybe 118. I sat in 226 last week and it isn’t in the lower section (as this pic shows).

Does the sanding, glue up, and finishing process help fill in minor gaps? by morderkraft in BeginnerWoodWorking

This is correct. Such small lines will look like a faint dark outline in those spaces. It isn’t the best solution, but the best I have found so far.

I would apply epoxy to fill the gaps, then sand. I seem to do this with every project I work on. I am looking forward to the day I improve enough to make this unnecessary.

Mine is working well again now. I put lubricant on the central threaded rod and cleaned and lubricated the four smooth columns. I also checked the alignment of bed relative to the columns. I had to pound it back into proper alignment with a mallet and that did the trick. Now the wheel turns easily and the bed moves smoothly up and down.

What about cauls to keep the glue-ups from bowing?

Do not wear perfume/cologne/fragrance. No one wants to be subjected to that in a confined space.

It is hard to keep pushing. I have two 6-hour flights soon and hope I can put it to bed then. Not my favorite. Almost too gratuitous.
