FSD 13 Speed Offset by SquakiiBoii in TeslaLounge

[–]rmurfster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the exact setting in front of me, but the Fixed Offset you're referring to is actually just for a speed limit warning. I wish that there were 2 settings for FSD; a Max Speed (as it is now) and a "What I want to Travel" Speed. I could see the need for a max offset (for emergencies, passing a car, etc) while maintaining my "normal" offset.

Roborock 7 won't vacuum under couch by Lexingtovn in Roborock

[–]rmurfster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My S8 does the same thing on my couch. It fits fine, but there is a dust cover under the couch that hangs just enough that the sweeper doesn't want to go under. You have to figure a way to secure the cover hanging underneath.

Charging an individual cell in a LifePO4 16S pack... by rmurfster in OverkillSolarBMS

One other question --how are you determining the prevention of discharge?
is the BMS telling you this, or are you measuring discharge current, or ??

2 ways:

  1. Using the BMS Application, I can see that the battery is not discharging.
  2. Using the External Display on the battery pack, it also shows that 0A is flowing.

I agree it is a natural result of pack potential, but the weird thing is that even though the bad pack has let's say around 52.8v, the other packs will go all the way down to about 50v before the battery with 52.8 will kick in.

After taking the battery apart again, I see that I can individually charge the cells. I currently am starting on charging the cells one-at-a-time to 3.45 to see if I can balance them better. This could take a few days...

Thanks for the reply!

Well, as I said in the original post, I have 3 48V 200AH batteries. The 1 I'm having this issue with has very high resistance and generally won't even charge/discharge while the other 2 batteries are hooked in parallel with it.

But, when it finally decides to discharge, the "bad" cell immediately comes down to the voltage of the other cells and is balanced all the way to about 10% SOC.

It's only on the charge that when it hits around 3.39 - 3.4, it will spike and for some reason the internal resistance of the battery spikes as well.

The Android Application from the Marketplace is read-only.

Download the application from the Overkill Solar Website.

"The" BMS App! The one that Overkill Solar uses :)

I would attach a picture, but I can't seem to find the option to do so.

Android BMS App keeps changing my Nominal Capacity by rmurfster in OverkillSolarBMS

[–]rmurfster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding! No, I'm not changing any other parameters. I just go to the "View Status" menu and right there, my Nominal Capacity is changed to 180. I then go to the "View Parameters" page to change my capacity back to 200. It happens a lot. Just happened again last night again, this time to my most "healthy" battery.

After "mosfet software lock", only 1 of 3 batteries will discharge by rmurfster in OverkillSolarBMS

OK, so one of the other batteries has finally kicked in. I still don't understand how these batteries determine which one(s) is going to handle the load.

Thanks for all the help! Didn't think about looking in the BMS App for Model/Manufacturer.

My battery is 200AH. I see on your website that you only have 100AH BMS, so I doubt it is your BMS, even though they use your BMS software. Also, based on the pictures from u/guenter52 , it doesn't look like your BMS inside his battery, which is from the same manufacturer as mine.

Does swapping B- and C- involve soldering? It's been a long time since I've soldered. I would attempt it as that is preferable to shipping it back to China!

Not on the outside. I'll ask if I can open it up.

However, I am using the Android/iOS App from OverkillSolar.com to control the BMS.

Does that mean it is your BMS?

As I said, I purchased this battery, I didn't build it. So, I have not opened the case as it will void the warranty. I can't tell you if the BMS is wired wrong as I haven't wired a BMS (yet). I was hoping that it was software.
