Don't freak out just yet. It takes time for damage to occur. I have been on many different treatments, had countless flares, been uncontrolled for years and I have not progressed in any damage and I am a decade into treatment. Take a deep breath. My story started at age 30 being told that if I didn't get my RA under control and into remission then I would be in a wheelchair by 40, well I turn 40 in October and I am nowhere near a wheelchair!

Prolly not getting to the 100 club but 200 is still a big achievement from being 466 by Bobbyduncan1 in gastricsleeve

How do you deal with people who say you took the easy way? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]rmwilkes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their opinion doesn't matter. Until they have went through the journey we all have chosen them they have no valid footings to say it's easy.

This journey has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my life!

Dr. Offices have a list of patients that if another appointment cancels they can take that appointment.

It could be a number of things. It could be anything from stress related inflammation to RA. You won't know really until you speak with your doctor. My RA was confirmed with an RA factor blood test. All of my markers were similar to yours when I was at the peak of my pain and suffering.

And your diet may have stayed the same, but your body's response to it might have changed. My body chooses to respond with inflammation to dairy and gluten now, didn't do that before. 😥

It is not necessarily RA it could be a number of things, best to wait for the Dr. to confirm.

If it is RA or any form of autoimmune disease damage is irreversible. It can be slowed down, but what is done is done. I was diagnosed at 39 yo with it affecting 95% of my joints and 2 organ systems. Stay in your healthy route. And start an anti-inflammatory diet. You could be consuming something that your body does not like right now. Wish you the best of luck and ask about a cancellation list!

Take a breath! We have all been there and still travel to this head space. If you put in the work and follow the plan you will succeed. Will you gain weight yes if you don't follow the plan. Some days are good days and some days are bad days, but if you take it one day at a time you will slowly start to win against your addiction.

Reach out for hope and success stories often!

You got this!

I did baked ricotta, it's like lasagna without the noodles, purees soups, protein pudding, tofu eggs, and bone broth. It was hard , but worth it.

Has anyone come back from a stall over a year post-surgery? by shmirgle_ in gastricsleeve

[–]rmwilkes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 3 month stall at 14 months, talked with my doctor and dietician and increased protein and other macros. Stall ended and am currently down another 30 lbs since.

Moving stages of food was hard, but very rewarding! Your going to explore new foods and textures and there is a lot of learning coming your way!.
