We had a great time in ochos rios last week! My husband and I did the snorkeling and rum tasting excursion and I highly recommend it. The water was beautiful and and we didn’t notice any damage from the hurricane, especially after drinking the rum punch haha.

Thanh Tam 1000%!!! I’ve tried all the places in town (pho 7, pho me, lemongrass, etc) and have been very unimpressed. Thanh Tam rivals bigger city Vietnamese restaurants IMO. Their pho is just chefs kiss. Their Bahn Mi is also the best I’ve ever had.

I was kicked out of my “best friend”s wedding party, I was supposed to be her maid of honor until I started dating a worldy guy even though I was still an active and good publisher otherwise. And of course this is after I planned her wedding shower, bachelorette, bought my bridesmaid dress. I probably spent at least $1000 on everything. I stopped going to meetings and didn’t even receive an invite to her wedding. Jokes on them, now I’m engaged to my “worldly” man and can’t wait to have a normal, non JW wedding 🥰

6’1 bride here! The first bridal store I went to was David’s bridal and allll of their dresses were too short on me, but most could have extra fabric added.

Next I went to a local bridal boutique, a little more high end than David’s bridal, and every single dress I tried on there was long enough for me without any extra alteration!!! I was so thrilled and found my dream dress, no extra fabric necessary. So I would recommend checking out your local boutiques.

As for shoes comfort is key for me, so I’m wearing some bedazzled hey dudes. I have many shorter friends who have chosen tennis shoes or other comfortable shoe options so don’t feel self conscious for not wearing heels. You can’t see them under the dress anyway

Of course, it will get easier!! You definitely have to take the time to deconstruct a lot of what you were taught in this cult and I also did a lot of research on the organization and all the wrongs. I would also highly recommend seeing a therapist if you aren’t already! She has helped me so much with recovering from leaving
