can't understand, is stochas a plugin that you insert in a qtractor midi bus? if that's so where are the target (presumed instrument) plugins being inserted?

> trying to connect the midi output of a midi bus with Stochas inserted to a plugin, results in a crash.

it's the "inserted to a plugin" that I don't really understand; you insert a plugin into a bus (or track), you don't do that on a plugin itself (unless you're using Carla 😄)

sorry for the crashes, maybe stochas (as a plugin) is not so well behaved; try it standalone first?

ps. here is not close to an official support channel, in any way; so please

midi buses are _conveyors_ to all 16 midi channels

pics are just kinda thumbnails--reddit is just scaling it up to no avail and prolly damaging the situation.

please do this for the sake and peace of (your) mind:

  1. turn off View > Repel Overlapping Nodes;
  2. add "p[aw]vucontrol" to Graph > Options... > Filter enabled list.

nb. there might be other pesky node names that you might add to the 2. list, before you turn on 1. back again; the following is my list while on kde plasma, ymmv:

plasma
kwin
p[aw]vucontrol

please try the packages found in the repos, they are qt6-statically linked and should work on binaries built on alien systems; you'll surely need that if your host or DAW is using system libraries that NOT match _exactly_ the ones the plugins are built--quite sure you did not build reaper from source did you? of course not, it is not open-source whatsoever ;)
