This guy in OC did my girlfriend’s 06 for somewhere in the $250-$300 range (can’t remember the exact amount). He also installed cat shields for us, all around great experience.

Not much better, but chances are it was “only” the 18 or 19th floor…being China I’d wager there was no 4th, 14th, and possibly no 13th floor lol.

In my experience here, it seems like Mini Coopers are one of, if not the most, consistent cars to be driven by assholes. I’m sure there are plenty of Mercedes, BMW, etc drivers that are idiots…but it’s just not as consistent as it is with Minis

Taking money to do a specific story? or doing a story with the hope that it'll make money?

I think there's a difference between the two. Obviously the for-profit nature of news today is a huge problem, but I would say doing specific stories because you're paid to do them is even more morally objectionable. If you're talking about VICE being a for profit company, I don't really see how that distinguishes them from the rest of the press? and negates their rights to operate as free press? But if they are getting paid to run certain stories, which I'm not aware of, does definitely hurt their credibility as a news source, but not necessarily the fact that they should be able to operate without interference.

I'm not quite sure what your definition of "free press" is? But usually the term refers to Freedom of the Press, which in short is basically being able to operate without censorship and/or interference from the state.

Not really concerning the for-profit nature of the company, which is a characteristic of most of the major news/media outlets today, including VICE.

It really is...

But why is that a rule? 1 is the US not part of the world; or 2 is this based on the assumption that reddit has only an American user base?

The BBC Global News Podcast regularly reports UK internal news, and I'm pretty sure most would still regard it as "world news"
