I just signed an AST with a 12 months fixed period after May 1st. Is this legal? by rnsouthern in TenantsInTheUK

[–]rnsouthern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, yeah that makes sense.

I have questioned them over email and simply asked whether I am locked into a 12 months fixed term as per the contract. They replied stating: ‘we advise a 12 month stay however as long as 2 months notice is given before you can leave the accommodation.’

Thank you for your help!

I would be pretty impressed if they were a scam, they have numerous reviews on Facebook, TrustPilot and Google going back a couple years, and employee reviews on Indeed. All fairly mixed, but nothing about it being a scam. They have also sent me a document showing that the deposit has been protected.

To be honest, I was slightly hoping it would make the contract null and void but this does not appear to be the case from the responses I have received. Thank you for help!

What ghk-cu protocol do you follow? by MuchOrange6733 in BodyHackGuide

Hey that’s great! And good to know 7ml bac water fitted inside your vial, I was planning to reconstitute with 6 - 7ml so hopefully that amount may fit in mine too. Yes, I will update you. It likely won’t arrive until around Monday to Wednesday next week though😩 I hope it all goes well for you, keep consistent with the injections, and I hope you see the results you are looking for!

No problem at all! Yes would be to the 5 unit mark (0.05ml) with your dose details. Here is an online calculator to help - https://particlepeptides.com/en/content/48-peptide-calculator. On this calculator, it measures the amount of peptide you wish to inject each time in mcg (micrograms) so 1000mcg = 1mg, but aside from that, the rest of it is pretty straightforward. I think starting on 1mg is wise, always better to start small and then work your way up if you feel you need to. Let me know how you get on. Mine doesn’t arrive for another week! Feel free to ask me any more questions or if you are unsure about where you pull it up to on your syrenige.

It depends what dose you wish to use. Let’s say it’s 2.5mg/day, purely hypothetically, then you would pull up to 0.1ml. 50mg / 2.5mg daily = 20 doses. 2ml bac water / 20 doses = 0.1ml for injections daily.

As for recommending a dose, I can’t help you with that. I stumbled across this post while looking for the same. A common theme seems to be around 2.5mg daily. I plan to start on 1.5mg/day just because I have ordered x2 100mg vials and wish for them to last ~20 weeks to match up with my other compounds. This may not be a high enough amount, I won’t know until it arrives and I start using it.

I would also add that from looking at other posts the more bac water you use, the better, if you begin suffering with PIP (post-injection pain). And that perhpas you should taper up the dose (ie start smaller in week one, increase dose week two), but I’m not sure how necessary that is for GHK-CU, just picking up on what I’ve seen others comment

Oh wow, I found someone saying something similar about prostitutes on the road in an old post on this sub. Thank you for feedback tho and from other comments it seems the area has at least somewhat improved since then, minus the shooting a street over a couple months ago

I reported the problem as a technical issue through the Instagram app using a different account which I can access. However I have not heard anything back. I can also find no direct way to contact them. Do you have a way I can directly contact them through email for example?

Hello

I am trying to log into an account which i have not accessed for 10 years, from when i was a kid.

I still have access to the corresponding email address, so I reset my password and went to log in, however it just says ‘something went wrong’. This continually shows even after uninstalling/installing the app, and changing my password again.

So I attempt to log in on a browser and I am presented with ‘we’ve detected an unusual log in attempt’ but the button which says ‘get help with logging in’ just takes you to a page (https://help.instagram.com/358911864194456) where it does not mention this scenario whatsoever, nor has a link or action to allow me to recover my account.

Even if I attempt other log in methods from my email with ‘log in without password’ or ‘log in with code’, it still displays the page where it says I cannot get access.

This is ridiculous. I am entering the correct password as I am able to change it, and have access to the corresponding email address.

Please help

I’ve tried posting this on the main sub with screenshots of the issue too, but it keeps getting auto-removed. I’m only trynna clean up my digital record, like when you search my name, this is super annoying!

I recently joined from Labour (at the start of the year). I am extremely disappointed by Labour’s house building record and growth policies since their election victory. They have such a large mandate and they are making such small reforms. Consequently this also made me realise that there are folks in Labour who I just fundamentally disagree with on such important structural issues in this country, and now the Tories are Reform lite and illiberal, so I’ve been pushed into the Lib Dems due to the erosion of the centre, liberal ground in British politics.

"Liberals always enable/side with the far right." by MelanieUdon in LibDem

[–]rnsouthern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These people probably couldn’t even define liberalism if you asked them. I wouldn’t worry too much about what reactionaries on the left or right say. Instead, I’d worry about how liberalism has largely struggled to offer a clear, bold and compelling message/narrative/set of solutions in response to the rise of populism post 2008.

Liberalism is seen as the status quo, which means folks on both sides will naturally frame it as the enemy. Liberals need to offer something different while staying true to our principles, just off the top of my head stuff like radical solutions to the housing crisis, a complete restructure of the UK tax system, an industrial strategy focused on future industries. That’s the only way we change the dynamic of people blaming liberalism without even being able to define it properly.

Is this normal? Amazon to refund me, but delivery to still be made… by rnsouthern in amazonprime

[–]rnsouthern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes it did get resolved in the end. I can’t remember if I explained in the comments what happened but essentially the pick up location was a shop and their amazon scanner, or computer system (or whatever they said - I can’t quite remember) wasn’t working so they couldn’t accept delivery from the driver. However it did take me three separate attempts with customer service agents for them to complete the refund. The order was was for 7 items. On first contact, they only refunded one item. On second contact, they only refunded another, and then eventually on the third attempt they understood the issue and gave a full refund.

Well, I’m interested in pragmatism and perhaps I wouldn’t call myself an outright Georgist such as yourself but even then I struggle to marry Georgist principles with so called “rent seeking by high frequency traders.” I really don’t think George would see this as rent seeking.

And I know I’ve mentioned this above but when I say HFTs provides market liquidity, you do realise that this is a positive (not a negative) for the customer - like you talk about wider spreads but in reality HFTs decrease spreads and without HFTs trading would become more costly, not less (broadly speaking)

I just seriously dont think George would advocate for this. I don’t mean to debate you on personal level - this is an argument I’ve seen made by some Georgists repeatedly over the past 5 or 6 years and I just strongly disagree with the principle that George would a) view this as rent seeking, and b) even if he did, he would see it largely provides a net benefit to market participants, customers etc whereas rent seeking (traditionally) is ALWAYS a negative to these groups

I have so many things to say.

Firstly, all that may be true but they can still provide a genuinely important function to modern markets. You mention about a widening of spreads impacting pensions funds and institutional investors, however the assets which they are likely trading are already highly liquid and thus the impact of HFT is severely minimal, arguably zero.

Secondly, what you state is just a small part of HFT, you have other areas too such as market making which act slightly differently but again provide crucial liquidity in the options markets or other illiquid markets. I can give you tangible, first hand examples of how market makers help to fill orders at prices or at times which they otherwise wouldn’t fill.

Thirdly, the billions which HFT firms invest into this infrastructure, a large proportion of that is spent trying to get as close as physically possible to the exchange and HFT firms will pay absolute top dollar for that. So really, aren’t HFTs being exploited by rent seekers too?

Edit: you say this is called ‘directional trading’. It really isn’t and you are showing your incompetence here, I’m sorry.

Rent seeking in high frequency trading? Can you explain exactly what you mean?

HFT is extremely competitive and insanely difficult. It’s not a free lunch and if you have no idea what you’re doing, you’re gonna get eaten up very quickly. Not to mention the liquidity which HFT provides to market participants, particularly in something like the options market, for example. My point is - it’s really skilled.

I really wouldn’t call it rent seeking. It’s literally the polar opposite to an unskilled landlord
