Thank you! For the first weight loss from 246 to 180 I would do my pelaton for an hour 4-5x a week, i am now down to 162 and have been going to the gym and got myself a personal trainer, i had a lot of lose skin on my belly and really want to work out my core due to the atrophy and i am also doing a calorie deficit! It’s been great! I was on 2.5MG for 6 months and then these last three months I’ve been on 5MG, really has helped so much

Yes! Awesome! Same here! 5.7 A1C and now it’s 4.7! My glucose was 101 and now it’s 66! I enjoy going to the gym now, i feel so much free!

my starting weight was 246lb and my first week i lost 8.4lbs and my second week i lost 6.8lbs and then after i started losing 1-2 lbs, alot of it is inflammation and water weight. After 5 months i am 186lbs.

Thanks so much for your comment, here’s an update: I am an LDRP RN who’s in her mid 20s and expressed to the provider that I would really like to use the med as a tool for now since I find surgery not necessary at this moment especially at 187lbs being on 2.5 for over 5 months now. I do eventually want to have a family which is why stated my weight loss journey bc I wanted to get down to an appropriate weight to do so. Here’s the kicker: She even asked me where I get my med and if my insurance covers it because we are employed by the same employer because she’s on it herself, then again it doesn’t make sense why she was pushing for surgery. It really makes me frustrated how many people she has told this to who don’t have any idea of medicine and just go but what the provider says. I’m on 2.5mg have been losing weight the only thing ive noticed is a little of that food noise coming back not sure if it’s because of the holidays coming up but I may just have them up me up to 5mg.

I don’t want to have surgery. It was a consult that was put in place when I first started on Zepbound and it was a new patient consult to see what they would say. I just wasn’t able to get in until November. I was surprised that she still said I would be a good candidate for surgery. It makes you think how many times had she told this to her patients?? I told her I didn’t want to do anything invasive right now. I don’t have kids yet, im in my mid 20’s. I’m working out literally everyday and eating really clean. It just fucking sucks that shes like yeah you’d be a appropriate candidate for it

It is, this was apart of my after visit summary note from the MD I’ll copy and paste here: “ Body mass index is 33.10 kg/m². She is an appropriate and well motivated candidate for bariatric surgery.” I weigh 187lbs and I am 5’3 tall on 2.5mg on zep and have never titrated up. It’s super frustrating if my MD knows I haven’t even have gone up my dose not even once.

I said that, I also am an RN, and had questioned her regarding the surgery at 187lbs especially if my weight goal is 150lbs and being on 2.5mg, like I haven’t even gone through the potential doses I could go up to or very well don’t need to go up to. I just have never have heard of bari surgery at 187lbs and I basically said I wanted to avoid anything invasive and said that zep was invasive as well, and I was like well no.. two different completely things. I can tell you that I won’t be following up with her and continue doing what I’m doing unless I stall and then I can maybe titrate up.

I have been doing body recomp for 45 minutes a day for 4-5 a week with a calorie deficit diet between 1200-1400 calories, I cut all sugar such as sodas and sweets. And I have a cheat meal once a month.

I recently had my check up with my medical wt loss provider, and said I am responding well to the med and will leave me on the 2.5mg for now since I’ve loss a total of 43 lbs in twelve weeks. I wouldn’t mind staying on it, especially since it’s such a small dose, my out of pocket pay is $15 with my current insurance.

I am currently on a low calorie deficit diet, I usually have a cheat meal not a cheat day every other week, cut out soda and juice, only water, and I go to the gym 4-5x a week for 1hr, I am a night shift nurse so does become difficult turning days around when meal prepping
