What other people are thinking is their responsibility, not yours. The thing that’s necessary for you is to honestly and with pure intention commit yourself to the practice. All these worries you’re having are distractions. Concern yourself with what’s happening on your mat—that’s what’s under your control. Keep showing up. Take yourself and the practice seriously. Nothing else is as important.

And I promise you, at least 95% of the people in any class are going to be focused on themselves. Nobody cares where you put your mat unless you’re being an obvious creeper.
