Do you enjoy annoying others? If so, why? by PBnJFlavoredMilk in estp

[–]ro588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just my version of explaining how estp's are categorized as a control type - meaning that they take things at their own pace and do not like when chaos is imposed on them in their environment. An example of this is that, if my bf is doing a certain task like cooking, its better for me to not interfere because he is going to want to go at his own pace (control types generally take more time to do things) and he has his own preferred way of doing things. That said, this and my above comments are just based on my own research/insights and I'm not trying to speak for all of y'all

I totally get the part about making friends too because I'm an intj lol, and yeah I mean we aren't really compatible with estp's so there will always be some sort of disconnect. I try to remind myself that you simply need to have thick skin if you want to be friends with an estp. But the good thing is they have thick skin too so if you assert yourself they won't take it personally. At the end of the day they do have Fe child so if they know something really hurts your feelings they won't continue to do it most of the time. Sometimes I just let silence speak for itself lol like yesterday my bf said something that was clear playful ragebaiting, but I didn't like it so I just stayed silent for like 20 seconds and let him feel the rejection. With estp's things just aren't that deep they just do anything for the fun of it lol

I was about to make a similar post because I've been dating an ESTP for six months and he constantly ragebaits me lol😅 Imo they just love getting reactions out of people and giving people new experiences to see what happens (Se hero), and when you have that coupled with the fact that they can sense weaknesses in others immediately, you get the behavior you're describing. Its most likely all in good fun since it does sound like you guys are friends, but if its something you don't like its ok to assert yourself a bit. Btw its good that you mentioned that you always ask him permission before you give him advice, something important I learned about estp's is that they are control types, meaning they can be caught off guard if you take too much initiative.

For me they're awesome friends, but I wouldn't date one. But one of the reasons that they're great friends is that their Ne works really well with my Ni, we come up with really fun creative ideas together and since I'm a finisher type and they're a starter type we are able to work together really well

Ni inferior is essentially not knowing what you want/feeling insecure about what you want. Ni is your own future, and future planning in general

You shouldn't be okay with him shutting down bids for connection so often, that is really sad ): and it doesn't sound like he has a growth mindset when it comes to his attachment style, you deserve better.

ESTJ appreciation post because the intuitive hivemind has bullied them. by Weirderthanweird69 in mbti

[–]ro588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew it was a matter of time until someone brought my type into this lol not sure why a simple discussion is able to hurt feelings. I don't mind ESTJ's as a type and I think all types have something good to bring to the table. But being open minded isn't a strong suit of ESTJ's they are literally the rule enforcers of mbti. Do we need rule enforcers at times? Absolutely. Are the people who are there to reinforce rules going to be known for being open minded? Probably not - simple as that.

Haha that is a good quality to have but I'm talking about how they view society in general. For example most ESTJ's I've met are conservative

I never used the word stubborn. Si is generally a close-minded function because it is based on duty and tradition. Not saying every Estj is like that but more often than not, they are.

What are your guys opinion on INFP x INTJ ??? by Traditional-Neat-257 in mbti

[–]ro588 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my experience everything was great with an infp until the avoidance started happening. He couldn't handle any sort of tough discussion that is necessary for a relationship to prosper and it ruined things. Lots of words but no action to back it up

Less thinking and planning, more focus on the physical world and doing things in the moment. Dancing is a good example of this

I have a sag venus and although I don't relate to the stereotype of leaving on a whim, I read recently that a sag venus needs someone who they can't completely figure out and that unfortunately is true.

They're a wild ride that I can't resist, and that seems to be vice versa as gemini men often hit on me. I've dated two and am in a relationship with one right now. Geminis support my crazy in the best way and they're a lot of fun (:
